I’m headed to the bank today, so I have cash on my mind. Not many people pay with cash today, but I’m not one of them. I do like some cash in my wallet for purchases under $10 and for tips at restaurants. Some people, like my DH, don’t care about the order his money is kept in his wallet - it’s all mixed together in no particular order (he does this when we play monopoly too - he says he doesn’t want anyone to tell quickly how much money he has :rolleyes2 ) Then there’s people like me who like their money in order in their wallet - I don’t like thumbing through my money to find what I’m looking for (I’m very meticulous with my Monopoly money too ::yes:: ). How about you? Are you like me, or my DH? Let’s talk about our cash today……

Do you keep cash in your wallet?
If yes…..Is your cash in dollar amount order?
If yes…..Does the cash go from most to least (100s - 1s) or least to most (1s - 100s)
(multiple choice)

For Me……As I mentioned above, I do keep cash in my wallet. I don’t keep lots of cash in my wallet, normally $100 or less - right now I got 20 bucks in there. My cash always goes from lease to most - I like my smallest bills to be in the front. I normally have a lot of singles, than more 5s, and then maybe one or two 10s or 20s. We don’t go out to eat very often, but when we do, I like to have small bills for tips. It’s time for me to add some more cash to my wallet - I don’t like there to be less than $20 in there.

I always have cash, ordered least to most. Two of my kids are baristas, they cash out at "Bank of Mom". So, I look like I'm bougie with a fat stack of cash, but it's really 37 ones.

I use the ones at low dollar transaction places--the bagel shop, the thrift store, small grocery purchases, etc. Anywhere I'd break a $20 bill normally. If I amass too many, I swing by the bank and trade them in. Right now, a bank trip is in order (DS19 has been working lots of hours at Dunks).

I have cash in my wallet. I think I have about $60, I haven't used it in a long time.
It is a half wallet, so the bills are folded over with the bigger bills on the outside.
But I usually only have $20s......until I use it.

I almost never have cash so I definitely don’t have a particular way to order it in my wallet. I make a special trip to the bank if I need cash for something and then I just shove it in my wallet however it comes out of the machine, or is handed to me by the teller.

I always like to carry some cash, and having worked in banking, I tend to take the time to face it all in the same direction. When it is in my pocket or a small wallet where it's folded together (like the one I'm currently using) the smaller bills are on the outside and the larger ones on the inside, so you see the ones first.

Just last night, I paid with cash at the concession stand at the ball field.

I carry a slim, RFID-theft proof money clip style wallet, where I can keep 8-10 cards in it, plus it has a money clip on the outside that will hold a couple bills. I typically will have a couple 20s in there plus maybe a few smaller bills for the occasional tip. I am OCD in that it does have to be in sequential bills, with the largest bills on the outside.

With machines going down at stores occasionally I always have cash. Mostly for small things like a chocolate bar etc where I’m not using a card.

Our money is coloured so no need to put it in order . When we go and use U.S money drives me crazy … looks all the same to me and we seem to end up with a lot of ones…lol

I don't even carry a wallet! I only have a wallet style phone case and take that everywhere - use debit or credit card to pay for everything.

I seldom have cash, except when traveling (tips, etc.). I do keep them in order 1-5-10-20, with 1s the first seen.

I also chose other because I'm maniacal about orienting my bills in the same direction -- I was trained using register drawers that bills should all face the same. Nowadays, no one cares -- I even get them weird from the ATM.

I always carry cash. I like to keep the cash organized in the same orientation and the same side. But I don't always have it in numerical order. I will use cash for small purchases and for tips. And there is a store in our neighborhood that only takes cash.

I never carry cash at home, apart from when I draw out cash to pay my window cleaner. The only time I do carry cash is when I'm on holiday where I might need it, but even now that's rare as most places accept card and tips can even be included. The only genuine benefit to covid, the increase in the ability to pay by card everywhere!

I always have some cash on me but it’s rarely over $25. I have $35 on me right now that’s been there for at least a week and will probably still be there next week. I only use cash when I absolutely have to!

I checked that I have money in my wallet but it's actually in a money clip. My wallet is for. my license, credit cards, insurance cards. I use CC for everything. When I make an ATM withdrawal it is $200. The money mostly goes to the grandkids over time I do tip cash at Walmart pick-up. The bills are in denomination order, 1's to 20's, all facing front.

I only carry my phone.

While Georgia supports digital ID, only the TSA officially uses it so I am forced to still carry my drivers license so I do have a phone case that holds a few cards including my license and a few credit cards for places that don't take Apple pay.

I have been known to keep a $20 in with the cards but have found that on the rare occasions where somewhere is cash only that $20 is not enough so I just end up going somewhere else that takes cards.
