Piggybacking on yesterdays poll about your Christmas tree….

🎄 How many homemade ornaments (made by anyone) are on your Christmas tree? 🎄

For Me…..I have about 15 on my Christmas tree.
*Some my girls made in school
*Some my DH’s grandma made
*My very most favorite ornament on the tree is one my mom made (pictured below⬇️). My mom made several ornaments like this, but this one was always my favorite as a child, so when I got married I asked her if I could take it with me and it‘s been hanging front & center on my tree ever since. The other ornaments she made are still on her tree - they‘re beautiful - she did a wonderful job,

I have a few but I have a lot smaller tree now so many are not on there. I still have them, tho. :)

Back in the late 70s/early 80s my mother’s church had an annual Christmas craft bazaar. Much of the items sold were handmade and the women of the parish started in the spring.

I still have about half a dozen ornaments and other decorative items. Others got too ratty over the decades and were discarded.

I have a bunch ! We used to do crafts with the kids when they were little and make ornaments and go to craft fairs at school - so I have a lot
I have a few I made as a child too - I think those would be considered antiques ?? 🤣🤣🤣

My parent's had some that myself and my other siblings made when we were in school, but I have no idea where they are since my parent's are both gone.

0 this year. I did my tree differently for the first time. Normally I have approx 15 or so.

I think 7 or 8. My favorites are an angel made of macaroni and glitter by DS in preschool, and a glass ball that I painted in 2nd grade, over 50 years ago, that’s still in remarkably good condition.

I have some school made ornaments but we no longer put up a tree. I found some when I was looking for decorations for my winter wonderland office space decorations.

We have a ton of homemade. My mom and I over the years needlepointed a ton of different ornaments. And I also have a knitting pattern for ornaments (basically it is knit and then placed over an ornament ball) that I am obsessed with. I have probably made over 60 of those since learning the pattern. I give tons of them away to friends and family.

We have a bunch of homemade ones from my youngest. He was in daycare at 2 and 1/2 so lots of little projects and was with a crafty sitter prior with that. My oldest was with her gram or my dad(neither of which was into arts and crafts) so not much from her, but-she worked at a consignment shop and would come across some really neat ornaments and get them from work for us.

We have lots of homemade ornaments. I have made quite a few felt and crewelwork ornaments. And almost every female in our family has given us handmade ornaments. I also have a few that the kids made at school. They are all very special and bring back fond memories every time we decorate the tree. :)

I don't have any, though I think some I made as a kid are still up in my dad's Christmas supplies.

There used to be so much more crafting going on decades ago. Today's it's all apps, and killer robocops, and ball-pitless McDonaldses. How can we get back? By making our own ornaments.

I chose "Other" because I'm tempted to make some ornaments of my own this year.
As adults, it's time we tried our hand at homemade ornaments, because we know we can do so much better than the average toddler.
That's right, toddlers, prepare to be decimated in the homemade ornament arena!

I left the tree with her and don't do a tree or decorating and such. We did have ornaments the kids made all through grade school. I recall through about 3rd or 4th grade, I don't recall them making ornaments in 5th and 6th.
