This time of year it’s always fun to give and receive gifts. Some of us have more people to buy for than others.
So today, I’m curious…..

How many people do you buy gifts for?
Are these people friends, family, coworkers, etc.
(multiple choice)

For Me……My DD20, my DH, my parents & inlaws, my boss, my DD’s boss, my DD’s godfather/our friend, my DD’s coach and my DD’s BF, so that’s 11 people. I still need to buy DD’s BF‘s gift today.

This year just DW and my two grown kids.

Before I retired I’d give gift cards from various places to members of my team, 10 to 12 people.

My sister and I stopped exchanging gifts to each other and our families about 10 years ago.

This year it’s 10 people for wrapped gifts, my family and one friend. I checked 16+ as we buy gift cards for teachers and bus drivers. This year with kids at two different schools, it was a lot, LOL. 30+? It’s small. Enough for a sandwich/snack/drink. Usually food related. Local businesses. This year we also bought gift cards to a used book store that a neighbor owns that is right by the school. I am so grateful for our teachers.

I get gifts for a little over 20 people. I just counted up and I buy for 15 family members and then 6 co-workers. The number has gone down significantly over the years - we don't exchange gifts with anyone in DH's family anymore, so that cut 9 people off the shopping list. I also don't exchange with any friends outside of co-workers anymore.

I buy gifts for DH, DD/SIL/7yo. Sometimes I buy a gift for my two sisters and two nieces, sometimes not. I also pick up small things (like a Lindt chocolate bar) for my 5 teaching assistants. However, I only consider the gifts that stay here in the house as 'real' gifts. i'm almost done shopping; just two gift cards to pick up, and if I don't get to them, I can print them out online (but I'd rather give the card).

Oops, it’s early and I just got my coffee. I voted other because we give cash to our kids and grandkids, but I forgot about the great grands. I do buy gifts (toys) for them as they are 8, 6 and 4.

Just my DH, DM, and the dog. We celebrate both Chanukah and Christmas so there are gifts for each holiday.

Our 6 grandkids, I buy one gift for DH. It used to be a hess truck to add to the pile, but kids don't play with them as much anymore. This year it will be one of those over the door basketball hoops. About 7 years ago, I announce no more gifts for adult kids. Not that I'm cheap (well not too cheap) but they aren't "I wish I had a ?" . They just go buy it. I got tired of racking my brain to think of something.

Do cookie trays count? I bake cookies for about 6 people.

Edit to add.......I might be jumping on the poll for tomorrow.....but I fill 12 stockings. Spent 8 million dollars, $2-5 dollars at a time. To me, that's enough buying.

Second add......I've made up about 15 little gift bags for kids at church I only have 6 kids in my class, but I bring extra for any kid that might show up at church that day.

16 family members
6 family pets (we don’t have any so this is fun for me)
Gifts for the local shelter in my town

We now do a secret Santa for the adults in our family but continue to buy gifts for the grandchildren. That means we only have to buy one gift for the adults. But I do buy a gift for my husband and he buys one for me. :) We only buy gifts for family, not friends. That totals 7 gifts, 5 for grandchildren and 2 for adults.

I buy for my DH, 2 step daughters, my parents, and BFF. My hairdresser and nail person each get a nice bottle of sparkling wine, and my DH and I do a secret Santa at our annual friends Christmas party. I also give away 10 boxes of homemade cookies to other friends.

My parents and in-laws (4), my sister's family and sister-in-law's family (4 each), my favorite aunt, and my son's girlfriend. So I think that comes up to 14.

For me personally, it’s just the wife for actual gifts, I do provide gift cards for my employees. If I needed to ramp up the numbers, I could include who my wife buys for from the both of us.
