Let’s just start this poll with a little something from my favorite Christmas movie….

Ahhh….hot chocolate…..so hot and warm and yummy in your tummy. Definitely something many of us enjoy in the winter, and especially during the holiday season. There’s different ways you can drink hot chocolate - you can have it plain or add in extra ingredients and/or toppings to make it super tasty, However you take your hot chocolate, it’s a nice treat to warm you up. So, today we’re going to discuss how we like our hot chocolate - let’s find out…

For Me……I do drink hot chocolate, but not on a regular basis. I used to drink it more in the past, when my DD22 had night games during cold weather months, but now I don’t think to drink it. When my girls were little, I’d always have instant hot chocolate in the house, but now that it’s just my DH & I, I don’t buy it anymore. I really should buy some - I do enjoy it this time of year. It could be a nice weekend treat. I think I’ll add it to my next grocery list To answer the poll question….I do enjoy adding marshmallows to my hot chocolate at home. If I bought it somewhere and they offered whipped cream, I’d definitely add it. I’ve never added booze to my hot chocolate and I’m not opposed to it - it’s just something I never think to do.

I do love hot chocolate as a general rule I don’t use instant I’ll just make it from scratch it just takes a hot minute and it’s so delicious!! If I have marshmallows in my house I will add them I don’t normally add alcohol to my hot chocolate I’m kind of opposed to that I want alcoholic drink I’ll just go make one It would be a chocolate Coffee margarita I don’t care for hot alcoholic drink drinks

I drink hot chocolate all year round. I'm lazy so I just use the instant powdered kind, although once in a blue moon hubby and I will make a pot with milk and cocoa powder and sugar. I actually just bought a big tin of instant Swiss Miss and a box of Andies mint hot choc. K pods last week. I also bought a bag of mini marshmellos as well. Sometimes I put the marshmellos in, sometimes I don't, just depends on my mood. As an aside, I got seriously chided/ridiculed by my new NP last week for drinking hot choc. Too full of sugar and caffeine. Needless to say, I'm changing GPs next month as soon as the new providers list comes out from my insurance.

Grandkids love a cup when they come inside from playing in the cold weather; just like my boys did. Grandma just does instant with marshmallows.

I love dark chocolate hot chocolate because I add some milk when I make it from a packet so it tastes more rich. Funny enough I put a packet in my purse to bring to work to start my day. I don’t like coffee so it’s replacing my morning cup of tea.

DH is big hot chocolate drinker and he makes it with milk drinker in the winter. He will have it a couple times a week while watching tv at night. I’m not a chocolate lover. I have maybe one mug a winter.

My grandma used to make me hot chocolate from scratch and buttered toast to dip -- fond memories.

I like hot chocolate. I'll have maybe 6 to 10 cups a year. That actually seems like a lot maybe I have less. Nothing added.

Nope - never. I don’t enjoy sweet beverages and I actively dislike chocolate, so the combination isn’t a winner for me. I do make a good one from scratch though, for DS or the grandkids when they want it. I’ll top it with mini marshmallows or whipped cream, whichever I have on hand.

Those are delicious. Lots of good flavors. They have changed the name to Cocoa Classics.
