Both BK and McDonald's in my area has doesn't have the foot traffic they once had. But BK has a lot less foot traffic than McDonald's. I've noticed BK's closed, not in my town but others. Growing up, McDonalds was a treat for a job well done or getting good grades. When speaking to younger parents of children these days, it seems to be a staple in their diet. The drive thru (which we didn't have growing up) and services like Doordash and Uber Eats. I also think that restaurants like Chili's with their $10 meal hurt fast food in general.

As a child, I liked McDonald's. As a teen/young adult, Wendy's and Burger King. Now, my choice for a fast-food burger chain would be Culver's or Five Guys.

I have both by me and there is rarely anyone at either. Maybe 1 car in the drive thru. With that said the Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Wendy’s, and Popeyes that are right there always have huge lines. For the price of McDonald’s I would pick a fast casual place like chili’s before McDonald’s.

I’m not much of a meat eater so I rarely get fast food.

Edit: I live in CT home of the $18 Big Mac. It was in the national news recently

The last 2 times I was in BK, they were out of a lot of stuff including the fries. My go to would be chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A with fries from McDonald's. They are building a Chick-Fil-A walking distance from my office; I will need some will power to not walk there every day when it gets warmer out.

I always preferred BK to McD, because of the customization. I hate condiments and trying to get McD to leave them off a burger is like banging my head on a brick wall. I never had an order go wrong at BK. I typically only eat fast food on vacation though.

However, I can’t tell you if BK gets much business around here because I am so rarely near the only one within miles (ironically it is right across the street from a McD, and it’s next door to the only Wendy’s in the area). There is also a McD in the parking lot of my grocery store, and it’s not a very busy one. I see a lot more people at the Starbucks next door to it than I do at the McD. Closer to town there is a Chick-fil-a, Arby’s, Culver’s, and Portillos, which all seem to be doing well.

I guess just based on the number of restaurants that McD is more popular here (seven McDonalds vs one Burger King).

There are definitely more McDonalds in our area. There is a local Burger King but I am not sure how it is still there. There is never hardly anyone there. We rarely eat at Mc Donald’s anymore as my DD complains that it bothers her stomach and I haven’t eaten at Burger King in years. I worked there for a few years in my teens so probably ate enough there back then so I am good now.😂 Occasionally I think of the chicken sandwich which was my favourite. If going for fast we prefer some local chains.

Most of the Burger Kings in a 20 mile radius of my house have closed. We had maybe 6, and now I can think of 2, and neither of them are within 10 miles. It's OK, I prefer McD's anyhow. I thought I'd prefer Burger King, but I don't like cold tomato slices and unmelted cheeese on my burgers; I feel the same way about Wendy's, so McDonald's it is! I stop by fairly often for a large diet Coke but only get food there maybe once a month (fillet of fish, or a double cheeseburger/McDouble).

I prefer Burger King, you can't beat flame broiled, plus they are a block closer to my house. But my wife and I just don't understand how they stay in business, never anyone in line there. McDonalds, that always has a line.

There's barely any Burger Kings near me so for me it'd always be McDonald's. To be honest I'd always choose McDonald's even if the two were next to each purely for their milkshakes. But I'd happily eat a Burger King if it was there, I'm not averse to it. Do love their bacon double cheeseburgers.

There are hardly any Burger Kings left around here anymore, sadly. McDonald's however, there's practically one on every corner so obviously they're winning on the 'more business' front.

I can't say that I like them both equally, but I do like them both. McDonald's has the edge, but I enjoy having a Whopper every now and again. And I love BK's onion rings. It's nice to have them instead of fries all the time.

My 1st choice would be Chick-fil-a but if we are doing burgers I would pick McDonalds because I love their soda. We choice Burger King a lot because they always offer coupons and being retired and watching money, the are a better choice financially.

I'd choose BK because I can get the Impossible Whopper there. Even when I ate meat, they were my choice over McD, the burgers are just better, and like someone else said they are way better about customizing. But, I don't really eat at either. The last time I had BK was I think ~4 years ago on the way home from a work trip and it was just the quickest/easiest option.

I much prefer McD's and it seems like more people in my area do as well. Of course, Chick Fil A is my favorite fast food place!

More McD's here but there are a number of BK's around also. I enjoy McD's oatmeal in the morning and I like BK's coffee more than McD or Starbucks. I'm out in the morning, quite a bit and will get each of those at their respective locations, I always use the apps for them or any fast food place. Marie and I like to go out every few weeks in the AM and use a BK coupon...2 breakfast sandwiches, 2 medium hash browns and 2 medium coffees, $8.99, eat in the car, like a date breakfast. They don't ask for the coupon, just the coupon code number, could use multiple times if desired.

There is a McDonald’s and a Burger King in my town, as well as a Wendy’s. I don’t go to any of them that often, but like them all okay. I have a slight preference for McDonald’s food.

Hard to say which is busiest, but if I had to guess, I’d say McDonald’s. That’s the one I drive by regularly, and the drive-thru often spills out onto the main road. I think Burger King is popular with young families, because they have an indoor play area and host birthday parties and school/scout fundraisers. BK also has a Coke freestyle machine.

Too bad my ::MickeyMo D’s doesn’t have a play area anymore… I used to play a lot there.
