I was in a Thanksgiving Day parade when I was kid (decades ago). It was a small southern town and my uncle had his horse team and wagon in it. I got to ride in the wagon and throw candy. :) I haven't been to a Thanksgiving parade as an adult though. We've had the experience of being at Disney while they were filming their Christmas parades a couple of times, but we mostly tried avoiding those areas.

I missed it cause I had to work. I wonder if it's still on Peacock.

Not for Thanksgiving, but I marched in two Pulaski Day parades as a kid. Once with my Girl Scouts troop and once when I was selected as the 5th grade girl from my school classroom. Pulaski Day is in early October.

I live in the suburbs of NYC and have been to the Macy’s parade 4 or 5 times, as an adult, both with and without kids.

NJ native here. I've always wanted to go to the Macy's Parade in NYC.

We have been to the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade twice, once when DS' high school band was marching in it (he played trumpet), and once when DD's high school band marched in it (she was in the color guard). It was fun, but cold.

Never attended any Thanksgiving parade in person, rather watch at home on TV. Usually Thanksgiving prep is underway and the weather can be iffy in various parts of the country for an outdoor parade (like cold/rain this year in NY). At some of the biggest parades, unless you have access to tickets for reserved seating, there is virtually nowhere to stand to see anything.

They are all about the same with marching bands, floats and some helium balloons. It is obvious the announcers are reading a script someone else prepared and like this year seem to have no idea what to say when one of the musical numbers had some sort of technical issue.
