They were popular when I was a kid, but I never cared for marshmallow, so always just had plain peanut butter or PB&J sandwiches. Didn’t like Scooter Pies or Mallomars either (maybe also regional). LOL, I actually still remember the jingle posted by @leebee above.

I grew up in the area where these originated, too.

I love them, my kids loved them, and we still enjoy them today.

I keep Fluff on hand for those and my hot chocolate! :goodvibes

My Dad worked for Nestles and they owned Cross & Blackwell who made jams & jellies. Our house was full of "samples" but the most common jam to be extra was Orange Marmalade. SO living on budget, that was the jam Mom put on our peanut butter. :rolleyes2 SO we always asked for our Fluffernutters. So as an adult my kids never were fed PBJ. Every so often a Fluffernutter but just wasn't a regular thing. Right now I'd still love one, but they are more a dessert sandwich so I avoid.

Never had one but would try one if presented with an opportunity. I would not go out and buy fluff to do so though.

Another bizarro national day. The thought of adding sugar and corn syrup to my peanut butter turns my stomach, so none of those things for me!

I've been eating them since I was a kid and now have my grandchildren hooked on them. The man who invented marshmellow fluff is from my hometown and I went to school with one of his sons.

Love! Every five years or so I pick up a jar of fluff. I do eat a lot of PBJ (grape jam only, though) for lunch.

I've never understood having sweet tasting fillings on a sandwich (or anything savoury based), unless it is maybe a sweeter brioche style bread. Sweet and savoury is just a big issue for me in general.

Needless to say, I've never tried a fluffernutter sandwich and would not like to, as I also hate peanut butter. Hard pass.

Never heard of them until I got on the DIS. Never seen them. No inclination to try one. Never heard of fluff either except on the DIS. It is a brand of marshmallow creme, most folks here favor Kraft brand, not fluff. Our Walmart did briefly stock Fluff brand, but have since dropped it.

I have to laugh because this was/is my bestie's come-home-drunk bedtime snack. We would be winding down, changing into pjs and she would make one on toast, I myself would just have PB toast.

I love them, but I rarely eat them these days. It had been years but I did buy some marshmallow fluff a couple months ago when I saw a you tube video recommending to use it as bait in a mouse trap. (It didn't work BTW) so I have had a couple recently. I think I like it better with crackers instead though.

Edited to add as someone above posted reminded me that it is also really yummy in Hot Chocolate...

Never had one .....would never have marshma!low cream on a sandwich......only use it for fudge.
I am a peanut butter and jelly girl.

I'm from the southwest and my husband is from the southeast. Not a thing we eat in either area. I love peanut butter, that sandwich sounds wayyyyy to sweet for me. PASS.
