slo’s THURSDAY 10/9 poll - Fluffernutter Sandwiches 🥪

Yesterday was National Fluffernutter Day, so I didn’t want the week to go by without doing a poll on this topic. Some people know what they are and some don’t. If you are someone that doesn’t know what they are, they are a wonderful blend of peanut butter and fluff - so good! If you want to get really crazy, you can add a layer of Nutella, which is amazing! Here’s another explanation…..

For Me……I love love love Fluffernutter and I have added Nutella, which is so good, but gives me a horrible stomachache . Some people drink certain alcoholic drinks and pay for it, I eat certain things and pay for it . I have not had a Fluffernutter in many years because I don’t want the extra sugary calories on my sandwich. And once that fluff is in the house, I’m going to want a Fluffernutter every day, so it’s best that I don’t buy it. I can’t eat it if I don’t buy it - booo!

We used to make those as kids, though usually with jelly too, but we never called them fluffernutters.

I'm a Boston girl; fluffernutters are my heritage!!

They are pretty sweet, but not as sweet as a s'more. I still enjoy one occasionally, but it's more of a throw-back, walk down memory lane thing.

While I've grown more fond of peanut butter over the years, I hated it as a kid. I also don't like messy eating situations with my hands, and Fluff is messy! It's great to use in desserts but I remember being horrified as a kid when my mom tried to serve me a Fluffernutter. Like...you already know I hate peanut butter and now you're serving it up with sticky stuff that's going everywhere and making me want to clean my hands every 5 seconds?

Not a fan of marshmallow anything, and peanut butter isn't a big favorite. Never tried a fluffernutter, so I'll default to some other calorie & carb loaded treat

I've never had one but my adult kids love them. We didn't get peanut butter as kids, no clue why. I've never thought to try one as an adult and now I eat low net carb so no for me.

Love, love peanut butter and never had a fluffernutter - would be willing to try, but I know they would be way too sweet for me. I do love peanut butter sandwiches with sliced apples or bananas though!

I have had them and liked them. Never ate them on a regular basis though, and it’s been a while since I have had one. So I wonder what my impression would be today. But I like marshmallows and peanut butter so maybe they’d still be on my “good” list!
