Do you make homemade hamburger patties or do you buy premade hamburger patties?

For Me…..Yesterday I made a large homemade hamburger patty on the Blackstone (the new recipe I mentioned), but that was an exception - I always buy premade. I think I want to change that though and start making my own more often.

Usually pre made. My husband likes ones from Sam’s Club. Last weekend he wanted to try making his own and did and he decided Sam’s Club are better. He loves burgers and I am fine with them but don’t have the same level of excitement about them and just don’t care as long as the meat isn’t gristly or gross.

Lately it’s store bought at $3 each - for that price with cheddar & bacon why try and make them ???
But yes homemade are delicious !!

Enjoy the games !! But I’ll miss you and your polls ! Can’t wait to hear about the games !!! Good Luck Katie 🍀🥎

I usually just buy a 6 pk of frozen Angus burgers from Walmart to keep on hand. Sometimes I will buy a big pack of hamburger from Sam’s Club and make my own to freeze or buy the fresh pre made ones.

Almost always handmade for beef hamburgers. The only time I buy pre-made is when I need a large quantity for a party. I will buy frozen turkey burgers as those are great for a quick meal. We all like the frozen turkey burgers from Aldi.

I started buying the preformed burger patties to use not only for hamburgers but for all ground beef use because they are just about the right size for tacos for one, spaghetti meat sauce for one, etc.

I did the large pack of ground beef and separated into 1/4 pound servings when it was on sale for $3.99 a pound last week vs $6.99 it usually is. Preformed have also steadily increased in price. At one time it was the same to buy the 1.25 package of preformed than a pound of bulk. I’ve never bought frozen burger patties.

Good luck on your daughter's last HS tournament!
I have never bought premade patties. We always make our own. (If it was just me, I'd probably just eat them in restaurants, because I hate touching raw meat. But my husband considers homemade hamburgers as one of his specialties. And they are good, so as long as he's willing to make them, I'm willing to eat them. However, when he says "Look, I have made hamburgers for dinner!" He means exactly that. He made the hamburger patties. I think he thinks that the toppings, side dishes, etc. just magically appear.

Only turkey burgers here. We used to buy the premade Aldi turkey burgers, but now we just make our own.

Hubby gets the big packs of frozen pre-made for himself. He eats hamburgers probably twice a week. I only eat the pre-made if we are in our RV and he is grilling. I eat very lean beef, I try to get 93/7 and he eats 80/20. I used to be able to get the lean ones in premade fresh packets in the grocery store but now days they just aren't there or they are way too expensive. I just get a couple pounds of beef now and separate them out and freeze them individually. Then I pat them out when they thaw.

Since the only way to get a decent price on ground beef is to buy the large packages, I make homemade. I break the big package down into small amounts that I can quickly grab for chili or spaghetti, and make three or four patties in a separate baggie. Everything goes in the freezer to be cooked as needed. I like a thin burger, so the premade are normally too thick for my liking.

We don’t make them that much, but when we do, we usually make them ourselves, and do turkey burgers about 50% of the time. Honestly I like the frozen ones but we never have much freezer space.

At home we always make homemade. We have tried various frozen brands and don’t like them. We love the recipe we use and the frozen ones never measure up.

Always homemade, but not 'hamburgers' so I picked other. I make the hamburger patties from a pack of ground meat and fry them up, but the only way my family will eat them is if I put them in a pot of beef gravy to finish off. We eat them with mashed potatoes and a vegetable.
