Happy Sunday and Happy Summer For me, June 1st always feels like the first day of summer and it’s a beautiful morning here in the Chicago area (I wish it was hotter, but that’s ok, the heat will come).

June 1st is also the day we celebrate June birthdays on The DIS - it’s always fun to celebrate birthdays. So, if you’re a June birthday, give yourself a big shout out today - your friends want to know

For Me…..Nope, no birthday for me - I gotta wait until the leaves start to fall. This is a big celebratory month for us though, my DH celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary on the 3rd

No June birthdays here, but with my BIL having a birthday at the end of May and my sister having one at the beginning of July, I often go over around the middle of June to bring gifts and a cake to celebrate them together. So it kind of feels like there’s a birthday in June . . .

Not my birthday either, but my sister will also be celebrating another trip around the sun on the 7th!

Actually, June is a huge birthday month for my family. One sister on the 7th, other sister and my brother on the 21st (not twins, 5 years apart). Six nieces and nephews are June birthdays, two sisters-in-law, my great aunt, and both fathers-in-law. THEN you throw in anniversaries (ours is the 26th... 32 years married, 40 years together), weddings, and graduations, and, well... June is a busy month in our family!

Turning 51. Doesn't seem possible, but it is! As of late, the only thing that really reminds me of my age constantly are my eyes. Needing bifocal contacts was not a fun pill to swallow. But it beats having to search for the cheaters to read any label any company produced, ever.

Happy Anniversary Nancy.

Quick story: I met DH on a Father's Day (June 17). We married 4 yrs later on that Father's Day date and now my grandson celebrates his 8th birthday on Father's Day. Special day all around.
