Do you have a 36” griddle (ex. Blackstone grill/griddle)?
If yes….how often do you use it?
(multiple choice)

*Please post what you make on it so people like me get some ideas.

For Me…..We have a Blackstone, and we don’t use it often due to not having many different recipes to make on it. DH uses it for eggs, pancakes, burgers and the occasional chicken recipe, but that’s it. I would say it’s used a couple times a month in warmer weather months, but almost never in the winter.

*Inspiration of today’s poll is me trying a new recipe tonight. I’m not going to share, because it could be awful - who knows:confused3.

Don't have one. Don't want one. My Dad just bought one, apparently he's been using it for pancakes and burgers.

My DH has multiple gas and charcoal grills, he likes to do burgers, chicken, steaks, fish, kabobs, etc that way.

I use electric an electric griddle indoors to do pancakes. And I joined the bacon in the oven on a cookie sheet club a few years back.

No good reason to get an outdoor gas griddle.

don't have one, don't want one.
I have so many cooking things, I don't ever need anymore......but I get some occasionally. This doesn't appeal to me at all.
I have frying pans, pancake pans, waffle irons, indoor grill, outdoor grill, smoker

We don’t have one that big. We do have a smaller griddle that my husband uses on his gas grill that he likes a lot. He does salmon filets on it, chicken thighs, sausages, burgers, veggies, hash browns. He likes it because it’s actually easier to clean then the grill itself or the non-stick grill sheet he has.

We don’t have one. I’d like one, but we probably wouldn’t use it enough to justify the cost and storage space. I follow someone on Facebook that uses their Blackstone often and everything they make looks delicious.

Don't have one, no real desire for one. :confused3

@slo, good luck with your new recipe. We will want an update if it was a winner or a loser. Winner, we want the recipe ... hey maybe that will burn a desire for me to want a griddle!

I had to look up what a Blackstone griddle is. Never heard of it, and don’t want/need one. We do all outdoor cooking on a regular gas grill. I have an electric griddle for indoors, used primarily for pancakes, as well as a small cast iron one that fits over the middle burner on my gas stove.

We have one up at our camp. We use it every weekend.
Tonight I’m going to do Philly cheesesteaks on it. Then I’ll do a quick breakfast on it in the morning.

When we first got it I didn’t really like cooking on it but now I love it

No interest in any of those outdoor griddles. Seems about every year, some company develops a new way to BBQ. Wouldn't the food simmer in grease and not cook the same way it does on a typical BBQ with grates? Part of the flavor when cooking on a BBQ is the food is directly exposed to the heat source. Do those also have some way for the grease to run off or it is slanted/sloped in some way? Grease fires can be an issue on any BBQ if there isn't some way to keep it from the heat source. Have had various BBQ's over the years and some seem to be designed by people who never BBQ.

That was my husband's big request for Christmas. It's not a blackstone, but it fits over a regular grill. He had all sorts of plans for it. He's used it ONE TIME.

I Googled it. Don't have one, don't need/want one. Good luck with the new recipe, Sandy.

No, it’s overkill for one person. I would like to get a griddle pan to make pancakes on the stove, maybe something 12-14 inches, but haven’t yet.

We have one and use it every day! We do stir fry, fried rice etc., grill tons of veggies, portobello burgers, pizza, as well as anything we would do on a regular grill. We love it because it is a griddle we don’t need a grill pan and stuff doesn’t fall through any grates.

We do have a regular grill but actually haven’t used it once since we got the Blackstone.

PS…grilled fruits with pound cake on it are awesome for dessert as well!

I don't have one, and didn't even know they were a thing.

Part of me says we do NOT need another gadget, part of me is intrigued...

Don't have one, don't want one. They are all the rage in the RV community. We have a small gas grill we keep in our RV and if we want pancakes we do have a small griddle pan we use on the stove top. At home, hubby has a big gas grill on the deck and we have an counter top grill/griddle in the kitchen he makes pancakes on sometimes. He uses it mostly to make a single hamburger for himself or to grill the chicken for the dog. He makes bacon in the oven in huge batches and we just reheat it.

I just bought a new outdoor grill and was deciding between a Blackstone and a traditional Weber kettle. I decided on the kettle and I have no regrets. I prefer the versatility of the kettle (grill, smoker, etc.), and can add a griddle aftermarket product if I want that feature.

Nope. Our 10 inch griddle was more than big enough even when both kids were home.
Is this a stove top griddle you talking about or a stand alone electric? A standard stove top is only 29 inches across so 36 inches is too big for a stove top.
