Are you an indoor live house plant person?
If yes….how many do you have?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I am not, I prefer fake, but my DH likes them. We have one fir tree plant thing I got for Christmas in 2020 and my DH has 3 cactus palm trees (these are indoors now - June, and then they go outside in the few summer months). I’m not a fan of his trees - they have very large thorns on them, and if one gets you, it’s incredibly painful. He loves these things - one he grew until it was taller than me and I’m 5’7” (this one died 2 years ago). Since they are cactuses, they only need to be watered once a month.

I have a few. But I have a story…….50 years ago when my grandfather died, some one in the church sent my mom a huge spider plant. She gave it to me. No place in her house so it would get good light. Now, in the blink of an eye, 50 years go by, ……Of course not THE same plant exactly, but that plant has been divided and babies rooted and given away many times over.

I do like them I have good luck with some bad luck with the others I currently have three when I’ve had for probably close to 30 years and the other two I’ve had for at least 10 or 15 I would have more but you know with the cat he doesn’t always leave them alone so going to be careful what I have and little trees are definitely a no because the cat would eat them and then I’d have a little sticks and then the dog would eat that🤣🤣🤣🤣
I do like having plants I have a few outside I was a nice weather and then I have a couple trees of the Evergreen variety that I’m trying to keep alive throughout the winter sometimes they land in the garage just keep them out of the really cold weather cause you know it’s so much warmer in my garage🤣🤣🤣🤣

I live in a very shady area so no houseplants for me as not a lot of sunshine gets in. Lots of plants outside, tho, especially hanging begonias. With Fall here not much more time to enjoy them.

No indoor plants that I can think of. Marie and I do not have indoor green thumbs. Marie does a great job outdoors with annuals and perennials, always looks nice, spring to fall. I used to do the outside, now Marie does.

We do not have any... with animals in the house I don't want to have to worry about poisoning any of them. That, and I am generally just too lazy to mess with one more thing to keep up with.
Same. I don't have a green thumb to begin with, but my cats are chewers, so that made the final "no plants" decision. - Too many are bad for them, and trying to put things where they "can't" get to them is just asking for mischief! 😆

I could tell the OP is not a plant person by the poll options--- individual increments of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5+ houseplants. I was expecting options with ranges (like 1-5, 5-10, 10-20, etc.)

I think I probably have about 50. We have a tiki-room inspired sunroom with lots of plants, many with vines growing along the walls and ceiling. My kitchen also has a big bay window with plants hanging and on the sill. I always thought I was bad with plants, but these are very low maintenance and have been doing well so far the four years we have lived here.

I voted 5 or more. Most of them are aloe plants that have divided many times over. I also have a few from funerals that are several plants in 2 different arrangements. I’ve repotted those several times and kept the arrangements together. They are huge. I used to have more, but as they died off over the years I didn’t replace them. My favorites were ficus trees.

I love them! I love nature and being surrounded by it. I live in New England, where we can get long cold, gray winters and to me having plants helps bring a bit of the outdoors inside and makes me happy.

I also enjoy the process of nurturing them and the challenge of attempting to keep them alive.😁

I was just saying to my husband over the weekend that it is time for me to get a few new plants since I have had some “recently pass away”.😂

Sort of a similar story. I am not a plant person. When my dad died (approx 8 years ago) someone gave a huge plant at the wake. It turned out to be many small plants and the idea was for us family members to take a plant or two. I took one and it’s gotten so big but I’m just trying to keep it going as Long as I can. I think of my dad when I look at the plant.

Gave up on having indoor houseplants. Unless you have a room that gets enough light, most indoor rooms aren't nearly bright enough to sustain a plant. Windows block most of the sunlight so plants don't get nearly enough light to do well. Got annoyed trying to find the right location/plant that worked and just gave up. I also never bring an outdoor plant from the patio inside when it gets cold as there are always some sort of tiny bugs in the soil. Outdoor plants stay outside...............LOL.

I currently have 18 houseplants. This includes three orange trees i started from seeds from fruit I had purchased, as well as two palm trees whose seeds I found by a pool in FL. They are all about two years old now, and 12-18 inches tall, so ready to go outside, but I am in the wrong climate. So I have to try and give them to relatives in warmer locations.
