I tried to watch because the Head of my House at Hogwarts was in it, but I couldn't understand over half of what was said so I gave up.

Watched all 6 seasons & have seen the first 2 movies. Was away on vacation last week so hope to see movie 3 before it leaves the theater. If
not will watch it on demand. As someone who watch the original Upstairs, Downstairs on PBS back in the 1970s on PBS I found some of the similarities interesting. The main difference ( other than technical improvements, bigger budget) is Upstairs, Downstairs was created by people whose parents were in service.

We saw it this afternoon. It was a good way to say goodbye. Had a lot of little small "Easter eggs" for those of us who watched since Season 1. But didn't take away if you just started.

I finally watched the last movie this weekend. I loved it. 🥰 (I've watched the whole series and binge watched it and the other movies a few times.) I thought the plot in this movie was very tight and plausible throughout. Unlike the movie where the King & Queen came to visit and I thought the storyline of the servants rebelling was a bit farfetched and implausible for what they would really do in those circumstances.

I missed Violet. It was a punch to the heart seeing her portrait, :sad1: although, I felt it was fittingly in the right place.

I loved all the "Easter eggs," (references to past events during the series.) I thought they came up naturally in the conversations. And I thought it was a great finale. No spoiler, but for those who haven't seen the movie yet, make sure you stay through the end credits. It shows extra clips of what happens to all the characters and really gives a nice closure. 🥰

I will miss this series, which is ironic as we got more movies than we ever thought we would get. 💝 But, I think it's because we did get a finale. Whereas before, in the back of our imaginations, life at Downton continued on in the same way, whereas, now we have a series finale. So, I'm sad but satisfied.
