For Me…..I love them!
First of all - I like anything that requires syrup - LOL!
Even though I love pancakes too, I sometimes like waffles more, because they don’t give me a stomachache like pancakes sometimes do. I enjoy all types of waffles - frozen, restaurant, at the hotel and homemade (I don’t make homemade (no waffle maker), but I used to love my mom’s when she made them). Sometimes I think I’d like a waffle maker, but then I say that I don’t need another kitchen gadget/cooker. I’m trying to get rid of stuff, not add more stuff - LOL!

*Inspiration for today’s poll is us visiting DD19 at college this past weekend, to watch her play her first college softball games. We took her out to breakfast yesterday and we both ordered waffles and they were very yummy

I like them, but rarely eat them. I have a waffle iron that I’ve never used. It’s just easier and quicker to make pancakes.

Not a huge fan - Belgian Waffles only - strawberries on top with maple syrup ! I can only eat maybe almost half and I’m good for about a year . Homemade Only - never once in my old life have I had waffles out to eat - nor do I plan too

If I'm making them, I agree, pancakes are definitely my favorite. Restaurants never make pancakes the way I like though, so I prefer waffles if I'm dining out.

I like waffles a little bit. The most I ever ate them was when we lived in Ohio and I had raspberry bushes. Frozen waffles, maple syrup and fresh picked raspberries…that was my perfect breakfast while the raspberries were in season.

I voted 'other'. I've never had a waffle! I wasn't a pancake fan, so had no interest in waffles. A few months ago I tried a recipe for sheet pan pancakes. They were made with 1/3 strawberries, 1/3 blueberries, and 1/3 chocolate chips. I am now a pancake convert, lol! Always with chocolate chips!

I like them. Haven't made them in years. I shouldn't eat them. If we are having breakfast for dinner, DH prefers pancakes and I make French toast for me with low calorie/carb bread.
When the grand kids are here they just want pancakes

I love waffles. I don't make them at home anymore, but like them when we go out for breakfast. I always ask the server to be sure to bring the waffle to me as soon as it is done, and to bring butter that is soft. Cold waffles and hard butter are not good.

I love them. They are one of my favorite breakfast items, but I rarely have them, so they are a treat when I do.

I don't love breakfast foods in general, so I'd rather not "waste" restaurant meal on breakfast.
They are a pain to make at home and my husband prefers pancakes, so I make pancakes more often than waffles even though I like waffles better.

I love waffles too! Homemade, at a restaurant, at a hotel breakfast thingy! My MIL bought we my first electric wafflemaker 20 years ago when DH and I got married. Love that thing.

I don't do frozen though. Blech.

I like them, but rarely eat them. I much prefer pancakes or french toast (preferably made with challah bread, but that’s a special treat). I have a waffle iron and used to make them for DS, who would also sometimes have frozen Eggos for a quick breakfast on school days.

They’re just ok. Certainly nothing I would go out of my way to eat. Last year I finally decided to try the Mickey waffles while at WDW with our granddaughters and I was done after 1 bite. Yuck!

I like them but don't eat them as I'm diabetic.
Plus I don't like huge amounts of sugar first thing in the morning.

I like them but now all restaurants serve is the Belgian-type ones and with the huge “holes”, I find the ratio of soft to crisp is off (too soft). The ones I most enjoy now are Eggos, and I go on a jag every once in a while.

I love waffles. I'm excited to go back to Belgium next month because they have the best waffles ever (Liège waffles, not what we call "Belgian waffles" in the US which are not at all the same).

They’re okay, but if pancakes are available I would choose them over waffles. Crepes, filled with sweetened cream cheese and strawberries, are even better
