Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you had a good weekend.

Have you seen any of the Mission Impossible movies?
If yes….which ones?
(multiple choice)

For Me……My DH and I have been watching them lately, so we can see the last one (I think it’s broken up into two movies) at the theater. We’ve been watching them on Paramount+ and we watched the forth one on Saturday (so we’ve seen 1-4). I’m not the biggest Tom Cruise fan, but I’ve put that aside to watch these with DH, and I’ve been finding the movies entertaining. These are not movies I need to watch again in the future - they are a one and done.

No real interest in these. The original MI was about a team, not just one agent.

I did actually see the first one, but I voted for it and that these are not my type of movies. I am not a big Tom Cruise fan for one, but ALSO, in the first movie they ruined the character of Jim Phelps. Peter Graves was actually going to be in the movie, but when he got the script and saw that they made Jim the bad guy, he walked. As a huge fan of the TV show it was unforgiveable! I swore that I would NEVER watch another one.

I know I saw the first three and the one with Henry Cavill. Aside from that I don't remember. I might've seen the others?

Tom has aged out of his characters, he is 61. If he played something age appropriate and believable maybe, but I struggle with him being retirement age and playing these same roles. 🤷‍♀️

I've seen 4 or 5......not really sure.
I enjoy them, just behind on watching

I know I saw the first, but after that if I did I certainly cannot remember. Action movies are not my preferred genre, so I have no desire to see them unless dh wants to go.

Just saw the most recent one (6, I assume?) and I know I've seen at least 1 and 2, but I forget which other ones I've seen.

LOL, this is me too. I think I’ve seen the first three. Not that interested, but they were DH’s picks and we watched them at home.

JMHO, but I sometimes get tired of movie “franchises” with too many sequels and remakes, that aren’t as good as the original, and just get repetitive and boring.

I haven't seen any of them - I love Simon Pegg but honestly Tom cruise creeps me out and turns me off of seeing any movie he's in.

Also, I think the other big issue is that they moved to be such big, action movies, but M:I should be more of a spy movie, with fewer explosions and more intrigue. I think the recent James Bond movies suffer from this as well.

I've seen several. The first one for sure, but I know I've seen a couple of others, too, but I don't remember which ones. (They were not "go to the theater" movies. They were "Oh, look... the library has this on DVD. Should we get it to watch this weekend?" movies.) Action movies are not really my thing, but as action movies go, I thought they were alright.

Are you saying Fast and Furious 25 is subpar? 😉

🤣😂🤣
