It’s carnival, fair, and festival season which means it’s also unhealthy treats season - LOL!
When you go to a fest, do you enjoy eating fried foods?
If yes….what treats do you indulge in?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I will confess that fried foods at a fest are a guilty pleasure of mine - especially fried dough. We don’t go to many feats, but when we do we always get elephant ears or a funnel cake, fried Oreos, a corn dog, a fried misc type item (last year it was fried Pop Tart) and a fried Twinkie (I love fried Twinkies). I’ve had other things in the past, but these are our favorites.

I have not been to a festival in years. I’ve been to a few craft shows where they do have fried foods.
Fried cheese fried vegetables in like you I love fried dough pretty much game to try just about anything fried but if it’s super hot outside, then no I can’t do the sweets and it’s really hot
Now you made me hungry!! That stuff looks delicious in your pics!!! Fried Twinkie sounds yummy

I haven't been to any festivals in years......but I used to like to get funnel cake topped with fruit (blueberries the most) and bricks of french fries

I never realized how much fried food we eat at fairs until there was a list I had to choose from...We usually have fresh cut fries, elephant ears, fried veggies split between 4 people in addition the the hand-shaken lemonades and chicken pitas (you know for health reasons.)

I have no interest at all in going to festivals and even if I did I probably would never eat anything there.

I love funnel cakes! I haven't had one in years, though. Maybe I should hunt down that stand the next time we go to the ballpark....hmmm.... :rotfl:

It’s been a dozen or so years since I went to a fair. I “had to have” a fried snickers. I remember being disappointed. It was very messy and just not that good.

We ❤️ fried fair food! And since we go so rarely we don’t feel guilty about indulging 😁. We enjoy fresh cut fries with malt vinegar and salt, elephant ears, funnel cakes, fried vegetables, twinkies, Oreos, etc. Not all of them at every fair, but 2 or 3.

Don't care for fried festival food. Usually too greasy, unappetizing to me. Rarely go somewhere it is available, we have gone to a Renaissance festival but stay away from the fried foods.

I love festivals, and I love a lot of those foods (though sometimes we have them at home - I do onion rings, mushrooms, motz. sticks, etc. in the air fryer).

Specifically at fairs and festivals, I love fried dough, or a version I remember from the county fair as a kid - sugar waffles!

I'm also likely to get fresh cut fries with malt vinegar, because I'm the only one in my house who likes them that way.

I like that stuff though rarely have it. Not a fair goer though. Last funnel cake I had was Sleepy Hollow at MK, probably 2014. Last elephant ear was in Canada in Epcot, whenever was the last year those were available there.

Marie's mom used to make really great pizza fritte (fried pizza dough). Some were plain, some with sugar, some with cinnamon and sugar. She'd make that msybe monthly. :cloud9: With her passing years ago, Natalie has picked up making them, but less often, maybe yearly. Just as good though.
