I love love love the “Jurassic Park” franchise . I remember like yesterday when I took my brother to see the first Jurassic Park movie in 1993. I loved it so much, that I told my DH (my boyfriend at the time) that he needed to see it, so I saw it again with him. After that I read the book Jurassic Park and it’s a great book (I’ve read it twice - I read it at second time a few years ago). Yesterday my DH and I went and saw Jurassic World Rebirth, and I was really hoping it would be good, and boy was I surprised - it was very very good. Two very highly enthusiastic thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻. Definitely big screen worthy ::yes::

If anyone needs some Jurassic Park movie info……here ya go…….

So, let’s talk about the Jurassic Park movies today…..

Have you seen any of the Jurassic Park movies?
If yes……which ones have you seen?
(multiple choice)

*If you’ve seen all the movies, please vote for each individual movie

For Me…..I’ve seen every one of them multiple times. The first movie will always hold a special place in my heart. The same year that movie came out, was the same year my DH got engaged in Florida. That trip we went to Universal Studios and that park was very new. There was a bunch of Jurassic Park movie props there, including some of the dinosaurs in the movie - it was so cool.

Love the first one and loved the book - I’ve seen almost all of them - I think I’m missing only the current one and the one before that but like you the first one is my favorite ❤️

Saw the first one.
My middle DS loved all his dinosaurs; probably still does ;)
I loved the Jurassic ride at Universal
Don't plan on going to see the new movie.

Now..........Superman; possibly.

I saw the first one, it has been quite a while back. The best I remember it was very entertaining.

I've seen them all....except the new one. I'll be seeing it on Saturday.
A group I belong to is having a free showing so I am going with DD, DGD and DGS. (I can only take 3 others)

They are stretching it too thin, like Jaws. The first few are good and the rest slide in to the mediocre.

I think I’ve seen them all but with six spread over 30 years, I can’t be totally sure. I do like them and I’ll see the newest one but maybe not in the theater. DH can take-it-or-leave-it. He says they’re all the same and it seems like they just recycle the action scenes. That’s exactly what I think about the shoot ‘em up, car chase, exploding-everything movies that he likes.

Seen them all, most of them multiple times. Saw new one last week. Loved it except one thing, but I won't do any spoiler. DS wore his JP shirt and bought a HUGE dino footprint (popcorn charcuterie tray) to bring home and hang on wall.

DH and I saw it yesterday. It was good, but we didn't love, LOVE it like we did the earlier ones. We've read both Jurassic Park and The Lost World -- there were a couple of scenes which looks like they pulled from Lost World book (not movie).

DH and I had bets on who would get eaten first.
When we left, I told him that these mutant dinosaurs must have a very discerning palate -- they ate the French people first.

I've seen them all, and seen them all in theaters. I read Jurassic Park and the Lost World right after the Lost World was released, I'm very glad I didn't read it first. I would have been pissed at the movie changes. Took my 9 year old to see the new one and then he asked to watch the old ones. He realized a line I've been saying to him for longer than he can remember came from Lost World. (Violence and technology, not good bedfellows.)

I've never really been that into the franchise. I saw the first one when it came out and it was...okay. I had a hard time relating to the egregiously stupid characters. I watched it again on a plane around the time Jurassic World came out and I thought better of it realizing that the people are supposed to be idiots and that the true hero is the T-Rex! I did see Jurassic World too - it was okay, but not that special. I have never seen any of the other movies.

Walked out of the Ziegfeld Theatre when it was playing the first one. They had SurroundSound and the thud of the walking T. Rex was just too much. Saw the remainder of the film when it came on TV a few years later. Same place I saw the next two that followed.

I've seen them all; we saw the new on on Friday night. I liked this new one best of all the sequels, but none are as good as the first one!

@NYCgrrl You were posting as I was. I don't enjoy surround-sound either. It's not that it's too loud for me, but it feels too detached. I don't feel like I am IN the scene, it sounds like the noise is coming from beside me when it SHOULD be coming from the screen. It's distracting.

I've seen all of the Jurassic Park films including the recent Rebirth. The original is by far the best and in my opinion every film since has gotten worse and worse. I didnt think the first Jurassic World film was that bad and there were elements I liked about the other two, but they weren't great. And I'm sorry but I hated Rebirth. Great cast but the story was dire, there were some redeemable moments but not enough. However I'm a bit of a negative Nancy when it comes to films in general atm, especially sequels/remakes etc that I feel are unnecessary so take my view with a pinch of salt 😂

I've read the Jurassic Park book and am currently reading The Lost World, both so different to the films!

On a side note, the Jurassic Park water ride at IOA is one of my favourite rides of all time. And while I'm not a huge fan of Jurassic World, how they've done that version of the ride in Hollywood is pretty great.

I've also realised today that I have far too many Jurassic Park related tshirts (4!).

I really like the franchise. We saw the new one last week. It did keep our interest. We just had so many questions where it didn't make sense.
