Happy Belated Father’s Day to our DIS dads - I hope you had a great day yesterday.

Since I had a cookout yesterday for the dads in our family, I’m asking you, the same thing I asked everyone yesterday….

Hamburger & hot dogs are on the menu, would you like a hamburger/cheeseburger, hot dog, or one of each?



For Me……Typically, I’ll always want just a hamburger, even though I love grilled hot dogs.

For me it depends on who is doing the cooking. I like hamburgers best, but only if they are done (no "warm pink" for me) - so if I'm not sure, I take a hot dog instead. I like those too.

If grilling, probably just rather burger or cheeseburger. As for a dog, I prefer a Chicago dog, boiled, not grilled, with steamed bun.

Well I had a hamburger and hot dog yesterday so I guess one of each. Hamburger needs to be well done and I’m kinda picky with my hot dogs. I prefer Hebrew National. I like my hot dogs more well done too.

Hot dogs are my favorite, especially if they have the "snappy" skin on them.
I love cheeseburgers and hamburgers but they have to be medium rare to medium; no brown meat for me!

I answered 'one of each' as I like them equally and will take whatever is offered, but I can only have one, usually without a roll, due to having had bariatric surgery- there's limited space inside me!

I’m the odd man out in that I really dislike hamburgers so it’s always a hot dog for me. If hamburgers are all that are offered I’ll just stick with the sides.

Ha ha, yeah. I have a buddy who is VERY inconsistent when cooking burgers. It seems like half the time they are raw and half the time they are burnt. I usually stick to hot dogs if he's cooking because they are safer and harder to mess up.

I agree that it depends on who is cooking, but if the choice is a perfectly cooked burger or a perfectly cooked hot dog, I would pick the cheeseburger every time. I love a good burger.

generally cheeseburger only, although I do have a hot dog about once/twice a year, and I much prefer if they're grilled (and charred.) So if it's been a long enough time, I might have a hot dog.

Yeah, I like turkey burgers too because I limit my red meat. That said, that same friend has offered to make me a turkey burger and I'm like, "No thanks." A rare beef burger is one thing, but turkey....? That's a big no!
