Welcome Back Sandy! Looking forward to stories from your trip! I take room pics sometimes, it's a matter of thinking of it before the room starts getting cluttered. As Pollyanna Mom mentioned, I do take pics of the view from the room. Also I'm with ronandannette regarding looking at photos, I prefer just to soak in the ambience rather than photopraph it. I'm not one to spend a lot of time revisiting old pics, just not wired that way.

Sometimes I take pics of a room at Disney plus some of the resort. I might every once in a while on non Disney trips take pics in the room but can’t remember I know I usually take pics from a balcony of a skyline if have a nice view and the outside of the resort.

I picked sometimes. I used to take a lot years back when I posted many pictures here on the dis. Not so much anymore.

And welcome back, Sandy (@slo) and Katie (@piglet1805), great to have you back, along with your daily weekday polls. Looking forward to some pictures and reviews/reports. :surfweb:

Here are a few resort pictures (mostly exteriors) from years back. (If you do happen to click the link and see red X's, a refresh should nmake then go away. Not sure why that happens. :confused3 )

@slo Welcome back!! Looks like you had a great time.
Thank you!!
We had the best time ❤️
I very seldom take a picture of the room unless it's of my family members.

Welcome back, Slo.
Thank you ❤️
Only if the room is themed special otherwise rarely take pics but I do take tons of the resort
Welcome Back ! Can’t wait to read your trip report !!!
Those rooms look nice !!!
Thank you ❤️
I’ll try and write it sometime this week once I get caught up at work.
Welcome back. Yes but at special places - usually Disney.

I’d love to read a trip report!
Thank you ❤️
I do not. But I enjoy looking at any where I may be interested in staying! I'm looking forward to your TR too!
I’ll let everyone know when it’s done 🙂👍🏼
Welcome back! Looks like a fabulous time was had. 😁

I rarely take pictures of the room. Either I’m showing someone in particular (planning trip to same location), or the room is spectacular and I’m excited.
Thank you ❤️
Welcome back!!
We just got back last night.

I used to when I was doing a lot of scrap books. I stopped when I decided to only scrap family trips and kids books. I was getting way too far behind.
Thank you ❤️
Yes, I have started to do this every trip...although almost all of our trips have been to Disney/Universal, so not sure I'd do it other places, but hope to. I do tend to do trip reports, sometimes reviews, and like ot have the pictures to remember. Also helps us later if we stay at the same hotel and need to recall things about the room, (what time of coffee maker is in the room, etc.)
Glad y'all had a wonderful trip and enjoyed your stay!!!
Thank you - we truly did ❤️
I chose rarely, but interpreted "super special" as "something funny." Also, views from my window. I travel a bit for work, and it seems like EVERY room I get put in has a glorious view...of the HVAC unit. I swear I'm going to do a coffee table book on HVAC units I've seen.

"Something Funny" example. Wouldn't you expect Jacob Marley to come visit you if this artwork was over YOUR hotel bed?

ETA: and welcome back, @slo! Missed you!!

I’ll definitely get that report and photos on The DIS soon 🙂👍🏼
Thanks for the link - I’ll take a look 🙂

Welcome back, @slo ! I take photos of the rooms if it's special, like when we stayed at Movies after the room refurb. I might take pics of the room when I go to Wildwood this week for a few days, and I might not. I guess it depends on my mood and if the room is nice enough to warrant remembering it. I'm a person who does look at vacation pics-I used to make scrapbooks and all, but I don't do that now.

I love looking back at my photos too - I can hardly wait to get my pictures printed and in the album I bought.

I always take a photo of the view out the window or off the balcony first, and then a couple of random photos of the room. If it is a hotel I have not visited before, I will take a few more, and if it’s a special hotel that I will not be returning to, I take several. I do go back and look at my own photos. Hotels get refurbished and remodeled, and I want to remember what they looked like when I stayed there.

It may make a difference that photography is one of my hobbies. Perhaps that is why I take more photos and go back to review them when others don’t.

I voted rarely. I did take pictures of our Viking river cruise because we splurged for a suite. Might have one of Cabana Bay at US somewhere on my phone. Room in St Lucia was cool (ceiling was painted like the sky).

It’s not “when I remember “ it’s if I think there’s something special. It hasn’t happened often, but I do have some room pictures.

Yeah, I don't unless it is a particularly special or interesting place. What I do always do is take a picture of the room number in the hallway - just in case, you know?

Welcome back!!

I usually take pictures of the room, view, and lobby, if it’s special or first time there.

Also, if someone on the Dis asks a specific question, I will try to take a picture for them.

I do enjoy seeing other people’s pictures.

I like taking pics of our resort/timeshare/fun stays plus any place that mil treats us to when we visit her (she had a cat and I am sensitive to cats so it was alternate choice). DH did not take pictures of his hotel room that he had this week on his short work trip.

My last resort pictures were from my last WDW trip Halloween 2019.
