Tonight is another Powerball drawing - will you be playing in hopes to win the 1.9 billion dollars?
If yes…Did you buy the numbers or someone else?

For Me…..I‘ve been playing, but I have not physically gone and bought the numbers.
My DH has been buying them
A coworker has been buying them for our group at work and then I pay him - the group is 8 people.

I’m not selfish - I don’t need to win the whole thing - just a million of it would be nice to pay off my debts, pay for DD19’s college, make a sizable donation to my church and then invest/save the rest for retirement.

We play when it gets really popular like this as well - but it's mostly just to participate in the dreaming along with everyone else. I know the odds aren't good.

Sometimes I buy the ticket, sometimes DH does. (Oddly, I tend to pick numbers by hand, and he tends to go with the quick ones.)

Like you, slo, I would be perfectly happy with only winning a "smaller" share!

I played. I paid into the group at work. On the way home from getting my daughter from school, we stopped and bought tickets. It was the first time she was able to buy a ticket. Then we got to played the "if I won" game on the 1.5 hour drive home.

She said she would finish school. I said good because the first thing I'll need is an accountant and I'd like to hire her, LOL.

I play, usually when the jackpot gets biggish. I'm good for frequently winning $4.

Sometimes DH buys the tickets, sometimes I do. Sometimes we even do it together.

I’m under no impression that I would win let alone win Big BUT if I did rest assured I would drop dead on the spot from shock !! If that did not happen there would be some issue because my luck does not run that way - my luck runs in other avenues - but hey it’s nice to be delusional and think I might get lucky and win a little cash ! BUT since I won $60 at casino on bday I’m probably good for next 20 years so I’m tapped as my last win was $25 on scratcher about 15 years prior

I'll play a bit when it gets news worthy, fun to be part of the dreams. I use the app on my phone, quick pick. Any number has as little a chance of winning as any other number. After the last draw, Saturday I guess it was, I received an email from the Lottery saying I had a win, $4, for matching the Powerball number.

We don't usually buy lottery tickets. But the huge Powerball prize usually my husband to buy tickets. I personally wish that he wouldn't waste his money, since the odds are ridiculously load. I also would hate to win that much money because it would ruin our life as we know it. I have nothing against winning a couple million, though.

Yeah, I rarely buy tickets, but I picked one up for last Wednesday's drawing. I may grab one if I am out today, but I won't make specifically go out to get one.

No Powerball here but we do have our own lotteries. Recently one of the pots climbed into the tens-of-millions before it was won, and there was a lot of hype like you all are seeing now. I didn’t buy a ticket, but sometimes I do. The trick then is to actually check them...

Only buy when the jackpot is huge. It tends to climb rapidly when it rolls over a few times and then all of the stories in the news get more people to be interested. Odds are obviously small, but for a few dollars why not?
