I voted either, because I tend to buy the squeeze during the winter when we just use it for sandwiches, and the jar during the summer, when I'm more likely to need to measure it for macaroni salad or something.

And I agree - NO putting the knife back into the jar after spreading! (If we have people over and everyone is making their own sandwiches, I'll scoop some into a little dish and put that out instead.)

I grew up in a Miracle Whip house, and did prefer the slightly sweeter taste at first, but I like either OK. DH only likes mayo, so I changed on that one rather than bothering to buy both.

I scoop into a separate dish too.......easier because I get Costco size mayonnaise
But...hate, hate Miracle Whip!! My mother used it occasionally but not as often as mayo
I don't think my adult kids have ever tasted it.....but DD doesn't like mayo anyway

My mom made potato salad once with Miracle Whip. I asked her what was wrong with the potato salad. She threw if all in the trash, which says a lot for someone who grew up in the depression, but it was awful.
I get why people bought is in the 1960's, it was half the cost of mayo, but I'm not sure it's even food

My maternal grandmother made “salad potato” with Miracle Whip and Wish Bone Italian dressing. Sprinkled with celery seed. It was awesome.

I still sometimes make it this way.

I use both and both. We entertain a lot so I set out squeeze bottles of both as I find them easier and more sanitary for guests. For cook ing or my prep I use jars for both. I've also been know to refill the squeeze bottles.

Scoop and spread. My aunt only like Hellman's in the jar so that's what I buy.

Scoop & spread for me. The squirt bottles are too small for the cost, and never completely empty.
Both Miracle Whip and mayo. Grew up with MW, still use it for many things. Never really cared for mayo, but we used to buy Cain's. It's a New England brand, and always tasted "off" to me, but DH liked it. Since moving to the South, I've discovered Duke's. So now there's a large jar of each in the fridge.

jars...... have to use squeeze bottles for mustard and ketchup and it is so frustrating when it gets low...
Best Foods / Hellmann's ONLY !!!! no other mayo or "dressing" can beat it.

I squirt/squeeze. Save me from having to wash a knife.

Best Foods only. If it's Fourth of July or something, I get a really big jar to make the potato salad, etc. The rest of the year, it's a squeeze bottle to keep the tribes from cross-contaminating the jar with tuna.
