We give out chocolate candy. I found out that the kids in our area like Twix. I also gave out Butterfingers and Baby Ruth this year. Reese's peanut butter cups are not popular here. The year I gave them out I was left with a bunch of them. The kids didn't want them.
My kids love Twix! In most cases, they were able to choose the candy they wanted and they both ended up with tons of Reese’s and Twix. I only saw one Baby Ruth which they allowed me to steal.
We gave out full size Hershey bars, Kit Kat and Reese’s. I had enough for about 90kids. I’ve always made bags, with around 4-5 snack size, but switched it up this year. It didn’t work out well. We came back after about 50 minutes of Trick or Treating and someone was grabbing the last one. Dh thought I bought too much, but I probably needed twice as much. We had to turn our light off after an hour. There were so many kids out last night! Going back to the bags next year. We have a ring camera so I took a quick peek to see if one person snagged them all, but most people took 2-3. Which I wasn’t expecting. I figured full size bars are one per person.
I can’t believe Halloween is over! It went by so quick!
Reese’s, Snickers, Mounds, other chocolate bars, etc.
We only had about 20 kids come around yesterday in gorgeous warm weather. I think many do the Trunk or Treat thing these days at various locations rather than going door to door.
