If I buy mints, it’s usually Altoids. If I need something minty I usually go for gum. Orbit or Eclipse.
They must have been doing those for decades, I remember getting these for Christmas in the mid-80's.
That's wild! When did life saver books come out?
1912
Yeah...it brings to mind the scent of urinal cakes in public restrooms. Hope I haven't spoiled Wint-O-Green for anyoneI don't eat lifesavers but wintergreen flavor anything is nasty
I had to pick Other, because I'm probably the only person on the planet who prefers Butter Rum Lifesavers.
We also buy the Life Savers Story Book packs for stocking stuffers.

Nope... I love butter rum lifesavers. My grandfather ALWAYS had a roll of them in his pocket, and when I see the threads that start "What reminds you the most of someone" I always think of Doc and his butter rum lifesavers. (Yup, "Doc" he was a doctor)
They we’re doing them way back when. And they had Tangerine in them as well as Butter Rum and other flavors not easily found in stores.I think they've been doing them since the 1960's! There used to be 12 rolls in the "book" (10 when I was growing up) and there were some really great ones -- tropical, strawberry, butter rum, etc. Some were tough to find in the store normally.
I only stopped giving them to my kids when they graduated from high school. But it had really devolved -- 6 rolls, and all the old 5 flavor, none of the fun flavors. So sad!
This is the one I remember:

But this is the original one. I do remember having butterscotch and butter rum, so maybe this one went into the 1970s.

Okay, OP, back to your originally scheduled program.
