Both sets of my grandparents lived on farms in south Texas and my grandmothers made traditional sweet kolaches all the time. Sooo good…!!!!!
Fortunately, my 85-year-old mother still makes them from time to time…!!!![]()
I've had the sweet ones, and I know they are the more traditional type, but I tend to favor the savory. Don't get me wrong, the sweet are super tasty, but ham and cheese or boudin (more of a Louisiana blend) are my favorites. Then again, I won't turn down a sausage and cheese or bacon/egg/cheese either.
