The one positive outcome of COVID-19...we have 3 in Yuma and 2 went to non smoking and they are still busy.. the 3rd casino allows smoking as their draw of folks because it needs all the help it can to draw folks.. very impossible casino to stay even... their machines not programmed to o long play and small building and not resort design at all
The CT casinos started removing smoking 2000. They did it in sections. They do still allow you to smoke in certain areas outside and they did maintain one cigar bar.

We go a few times a year either to Atlantic City or Conn, We play slots, what we call mindless entertainment. Play penny slots. We are not big gamblers. We enjoy the buffets in AC and miss the ones at Foxwood and Mohegan. We also go to Vegas every other year as we have a timeshare there.

I enjoy gambling. We have several casinos around here, but I rarely go to them. They are typically only once a year visit. I prefer Vegas and go annually with my sister. We both love blackjack and slots. Sometimes we take the boys (our husbands) but it usually isn't as fun compared to just the two of us.

I also love gambling at the casinos on cruises. If we get onboard credit, that is typically where we will use it if we don't take one of the ships excursions.

I always go in with a set amount to play with. If I lose, I leave. I quit when I double my money.

I have said this before on here: gambling isn't evil. It may not be for everyone, but it is not evil. It is a form of entertainment some (like myself) love, and others don't. Neither one is wrong.

I remember a while back a nearby casino was advertising a new "non-smoking gaming floor." Back then we would ocassionally god down to play a little and get a buffet comp. Anyway, we went to that one, and the non-smoking section was in an upstairs part with a big, open circle in the middle! Like, all the smoke just comes up here, you know? They also only has slots up there, no table games, so all-in-all, that was pretty lame.

I never went to casinos terribly often anyway, but sometimes it could be fun. I never played much - I'd bring like 50 bucks and usually stop at losing about half of it. If I could get a meal comp, that was all I needed. These days, the nearby casinos are not very nice - they have really declined. If I was in Vegas or something though I'd probably do a little bit of gambling emphasis on little bit.

I’ve never been in a casino. Never been to Vegas, Atlantic City or any other place like that and have absolutely no desire to. Throwing away money just for the experience of it isn’t my idea of fun. My Brother in law is constantly at casinos though, to the point where he gets fully comped hotel rooms and food and he’s about to take a free 10 day cruise from his casino points.

At the moment I am enjoying a free 10 day cruise through a casino offer, so yes I enjoy gambling.

My view at this very moment….

Our casino doesn't offer vacations... from November 1to March 1 every day in Yuma is a vacation.. with the drawing every month during those months of recreational vehicles

We have a third in Yuma Middle of nowhere and they also gave food comp at 50.00. But only on senior days and is a smoking casino....so how have the casino declined

Oh, well, the area nearby that has them has really gone downhill - a lot of them have even closed, so it's just derelict buildings and such. The comps have gotten harder to get and the food is worse. They just show those signs of general decline. Granted I havent been in a while, and sometimes things do get better, but that is why I stopped going. Granted I only went once or twice a year - if that. It's not really somethign I ever loved anyway, but it was fun enough ocassionally.

No I do not enjoy gambling.....I like casinos for the entertainment

I like going once or twice a year with a set budget just for fun. I mostly play slots, maybe some video poker. It’s more about the experience than winning.

I’ve never been to a casino not even on a cruise . I’m not lucky: when my kid was in school I had her do cake walks at functions because she would win and i would lose lol

Scripps news reported that Vegas is losing business and folks are losing their jobs and job fairs have long lines... during this summer our reservation casinos were hurting and new promotions came out like never before....so spoiled I am parking at the front door . They stopped offering the free NFL promotion and now have a promotion... give them $40.00 and they will add an additional $10.00...which is fantastic as it facilitate as free play... which means your winnings accumulate ....it's winning for you...so you can only do it once on Mondays.... you have to walk away after the free play is over with your winnings

Was just in Vegas recently. Crowds seemed about the same as in the past. The number of people gambling at various casinos we were at or eating in the various restaurants didn't appear any less to me. Also noticed just as much construction on new facilities as previously. Hard Rock bought the Mirage and is in the process of building a huge new tower out front. Resorts world was offering free parking in an apparent attempt to draw people from MGM & Caesar's. The old Tropicana across from Luxor has been demolished and work is starting on yet another sports venue. Whether each pro sports team needs its own facility is yet to be seen, but apparently those investing in them think there is a business case. There was some sort of sporting event one evening and we noticed a lot of extra traffic. Those might also attract people who aren't interested in gambling, but want to attend a local sporting event.
