The one positive outcome of COVID-19...we have 3 in Yuma and 2 went to non smoking and they are still busy.. the 3rd casino allows smoking as their draw of folks because it needs all the help it can to draw folks.. very impossible casino to stay even... their machines not programmed to o long play and small building and not resort design at all
The CT casinos started removing smoking 2000. They did it in sections. They do still allow you to smoke in certain areas outside and they did maintain one cigar bar.

We go a few times a year either to Atlantic City or Conn, We play slots, what we call mindless entertainment. Play penny slots. We are not big gamblers. We enjoy the buffets in AC and miss the ones at Foxwood and Mohegan. We also go to Vegas every other year as we have a timeshare there.

I enjoy gambling. We have several casinos around here, but I rarely go to them. They are typically only once a year visit. I prefer Vegas and go annually with my sister. We both love blackjack and slots. Sometimes we take the boys (our husbands) but it usually isn't as fun compared to just the two of us.

I also love gambling at the casinos on cruises. If we get onboard credit, that is typically where we will use it if we don't take one of the ships excursions.

I always go in with a set amount to play with. If I lose, I leave. I quit when I double my money.

I have said this before on here: gambling isn't evil. It may not be for everyone, but it is not evil. It is a form of entertainment some (like myself) love, and others don't. Neither one is wrong.

I remember a while back a nearby casino was advertising a new "non-smoking gaming floor." Back then we would ocassionally god down to play a little and get a buffet comp. Anyway, we went to that one, and the non-smoking section was in an upstairs part with a big, open circle in the middle! Like, all the smoke just comes up here, you know? They also only has slots up there, no table games, so all-in-all, that was pretty lame.

I never went to casinos terribly often anyway, but sometimes it could be fun. I never played much - I'd bring like 50 bucks and usually stop at losing about half of it. If I could get a meal comp, that was all I needed. These days, the nearby casinos are not very nice - they have really declined. If I was in Vegas or something though I'd probably do a little bit of gambling emphasis on little bit.

I’ve never been in a casino. Never been to Vegas, Atlantic City or any other place like that and have absolutely no desire to. Throwing away money just for the experience of it isn’t my idea of fun. My Brother in law is constantly at casinos though, to the point where he gets fully comped hotel rooms and food and he’s about to take a free 10 day cruise from his casino points.

We have a third in Yuma Middle of nowhere and they also gave food comp at 50.00. But only on senior days and is a smoking casino....so how have the casino declined

Oh, well, the area nearby that has them has really gone downhill - a lot of them have even closed, so it's just derelict buildings and such. The comps have gotten harder to get and the food is worse. They just show those signs of general decline. Granted I havent been in a while, and sometimes things do get better, but that is why I stopped going. Granted I only went once or twice a year - if that. It's not really somethign I ever loved anyway, but it was fun enough ocassionally.
