I think it’s safe to say that we all have pictures of ourselves displayed somewhere in our homes. These pictures could be of us alone, or with other people. What I’m wondering today……

How many pictures of yourself are displayed in your home?
In the pictures, are you alone or with other people?
(multiple choice)

For Me……Since I did custom picture framing for 25 years, I have lots of pictures throughout our home. I have 10 pictures displayed with me in them, and these pictures are with my DH or with my DH & my girls. There are none with me alone.

On my electronic devices? A few.
Printed, framed and scattered around the house? One; belonged to my mother as she enjoyed having pics of all her children. I’m camera shy so not seen on film often.

None. There are only pictures of dead relatives hung up in one place in my house. A couple of pictures of the kids on the fridge. Basically magnet art from school with their photos included. DH and I don't do framed photos for decor.

I have 2 family pictures up in the family room right now.
Have 2 wedding pictures out ,1 in the hall 1 in our bedroom.
And our engagement picture is in our bedroom.

Used to go to Sears every Christmas after the kids were born. Stopped when son went off to college but always got a picture on the phone after that if he came home.

None of just me though. I’m usually the picture taker, love pictures have tons of albums.

None in my house. We have on framed photo of my nephew and a bunch of Christmas cards with various family and friends' families still on the fridge, but that's it for photos.

You just said in home, not displayed, so that is a lot. I have some hung (there I am with other people), some in photo albums and some in scrap books. All the way back to baby pictures through our trip earlier this month.

You are totally right - thanks - I edited the original post 🙂

Definitely a lot. - I'm big on displaying photos! Right now I can think of one by myself, several with DH or DS, and a bunch of all three of us.

I have 5 framed photos of myself in our home - 2 with my husband (a wedding photo and one from our WDW honeymoon), 2 with my husband and daughter (one Christmas and one at WDW where we had our honeymoon picture taken) and 1 with entire family at my sister’s wedding.

Three.

Two are on a side table in dining room that displays 8 framed photos. One is my wedding photo, the other is a pic with my Grandma and Great Aunt. Two people that I miss more than words can say. (That photo always makes me smile.)

The other one is in my living room on a bookshelf. It’s of my sister and I back to back being silly.

Total framed photos displayed in my house: 17

I'll go look....but still a lot.
One wall upstairs is all pictures and all up the stair way. In rooms, all over.

Okay about 150 frames with photos in them and several are collages with a lot of photos each,

At least 25-30 are with me and other people....on cruises, with family, at
Disney parks.
I do have one of me alone. It is a Haunted Mansion one that changes the person into a ghost. There are 6 of the family in the dining room

4. Two from our wedding, and 2 family portraits with the whole family.

Edited to add (as an aside): I'd really like to get a family portrait done because we haven't done one in many years. But now we're getting into that sticky area where there are pretty serious boyfriends/girlfriends. They MIGHT end up being a permanent part of the family, but it's also possible they won't... so, are they included, or no? (I'm kind of thinking 'no' but I would also feel bad saying 'we don't want you in this.' They really are nice people and I would be happy if they *do* eventually join our family. So I've just been avoiding it. Thus, no photo at all.)

I don’t have any photos of myself displayed. I have one of my sister and BIL, and one of my mom and dad, and that’s it. I don’t consider myself to be particularly photogenic so I avoid being in front of the camera as much as possible.

Zero of me on display. This new place we moved to has literally no appropriate wall space for photos in the public areas. In our previous home, I had a family gallery wall that made me smile every time I passed it. I miss it. Here, I have one end table that will properly accommodate a single nicely framed photo. I’d like it to be of the entire family and and I’ve yet to choose one. :grouphug:

There is a picture of me when I was 9 months old with my mom and a picture taken professionally when I was 2. The only other one I can think of is a picture we took at MVMCP the year my MIL joined us, so it's DH, MIL, DD, and me. I've always been grossly overweight so I stayed out of pictures until a few years ago, post-bariatric surgery (and down 110lbs). However, none of these are displayed, they are randomly on people's phones.

I have no pictures of myself or anyone else. Pictures were shunned in my community growing up so the only photos of any of us would be photos that tourists took. Looking back at my life now, I wish I had pictures of my mom and dad before they passed but that just wasn't something they would have allowed me to do. I'll just live with the photos of them in my memories instead.

Zero- in our old house, we used to have a series of 8x10s going up the primary section of the staircase. They were a combo of the girls and a few with all four of us. My change of heart began when the realtor had us take them down to paint and put the house on the market. I really liked the clean look without them and chose not to maintain this in our new home. I love taking pictures, and have a large digital library, but I’ve come to realize that I’m not into the formal stuff and don’t really love framing candids either. It looks nice when others do it. I just feel like my earlier efforts were simply copying friends’ and certain family traditions vs staying true to me.
