slo’s THURSDAY 5/15 poll - Your Roller Coaster Month

I belong to so many Disney themed pages on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook that I get a lot of fun things to look at. Last night I came across the bottom picture, and it made me chuckle, because it’s almost perfect for our family. I need to look up Hyperspace Mountain, Incredicoaster and Goofy’s Sky School because I don’t know what those are - we’ve only been to WDW. We’re patiently waiting for Disney to kick back our DVC resale contract that went to them, so we can finalize that and hopefully use it to go to other Disney Resorts/Parks one day - then I’ll know all the rides everywhere . So let’s find out if you agree with what your ride is…..

For Me……My birth month is October and my roller coaster is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which is perfect since Snow White is my favorite princess. My DD21’s is Cosmic Rewind, which is awesome, because she loves this ride. My DH’s is Space Mountain, which is good, but I’m sure he’d prefer Rockin Roller Coaster.

Never been on TRON but Rock n Roll coaster makes me happy without being a Scorpio or Sagittarius.

With that being said I will never get on a roller coaster in 1 million years not even a kid coaster because I get sick can’t stand to be dropped that feeling makes me so sick / you can spin me all you want I’m perfectly fine with that but the tiniest drop and I’m like that the rest of the day
No I did learn a trick that you can do that helps ward that off - if you can put your chin to your chest then you don’t feel it so bad sadly my second spinal surgery I can no longer put my chin to my chest completely because that trick does work at least on a little tiny jobs like Pirates of the Caribbean so I can’t use that trick anymore
But I would never get on a roller coaster and try it even when I could do that trick
Enjoy your Roller Coasters I’ll be the person sitting there waiting for you holding your stuff!! or hitting up all the shops !!

I can't do big drops, either. HATE them, would never consider ToT, RnRC, Everest, etc. because of them. I also can't do spinning things or screens; have to be super-careful when riding Dumbo, for example, and just kept my eyes closed during FoP. And YES, this is with taking meclizine every day.

I love Big Thunder, though, but only one time. After that... urg, not good. Same with Mine Train, but I was pleasantly surprised to find I can also ride Slinky Dog! I've learned that I have to be able to see the drops coming, and then brace my feet firmly on the floor so I am pushing against the falling as the cars drop. Not gonna trust that on any of the bigger coasters. Also, I have to avoid corkscrews; the Barnstormer ate me alive, I was done for several hours after experiencing that once (the things we do for our kids)!

Ugh, I got Tron. I rode it once during the AP preview and that's enough for me. I found it to be really boring and not at all worth the wait or the extra cost to skip the line. Would rather ride literally any of these other coasters.

Tron! Great fun, but I barely got the restraints closed the last time, wake up call. I think my favorites are Guardians, Everest....at WDW
My favorite coaster in Orlando is Velocicoaster....wheeee!!!

Honestly…..I’ve done this ride sitting in the middle of the train car and in the front. Sitting in the middle is not nearly as exciting as sitting in the front. If you ride this again, request the front car and it’s incredibly more exciting and fun. My DD21 and I request the front car for EE too, because we feel it’s better.

Expedition Everest.....used to love it.
I can't ride the coasters anymore......
I have ridden all of them. Did not like some.....like Tron and Cosmic Rewind, but then they were the ones I rode when I was about to give up coasters.

You sound like me. I do not get sick but hate that feeling in my stomach with any type of drop. I love motion simulators and am fine rides that make you feel dizzy.

For my month it is SDMT.

I can't ride Star Tours or Tea Cups......I must be able to see ahead of me and anticipate the movement that is coming.
I want to be the driver in a car, but that doesn't always happen.

August baby here...I got Cosmic Rewind...which I have yet to ride. I've heard it's great though, so I guess I can't complain. DD18 and I are the same. DH is the Matterhorn, which we all love and DD16 is Rock-n-Rollercoaster...another family fave.

I got Tron. Figures, short ride for a short month. This actually opened after my last trip, so I haven't ridden. Cosmic Rewind is actually my favorite, and well worth the wait times.

I'm Slinky Dog Dash and I'm good with that. Hubby is Cosmic Rewind - he has not and will not ride it. I was barely able to get to ride Mine Train and that did not end well for him. I promised I would never bully him into going on another coaster.
