It’s the day after Thanksgiving, which means many of us have leftovers in our fridge. Some people can be really creative with their leftovers and others just eat the leftovers as they are. So tell us today……

Do you currently have Thanksgiving leftovers?
If yes - are you creative with how you use them?
Do you just eat them as they are?
(Multiple-choice)

For Me……I do have Thanksgiving leftovers, and I do something creative with them and I also eat them just as they are. On Sunday I’m making turkey sliders - I’ve never done this recipe before. Then Monday, we are having another Thanksgiving meal with the leftovers. In the past I’ve made turkey enchiladas, which is really good. We have three leftover pies sitting in our refrigerator, which I will just be eating throughout the weekend. This is a very fattening weekend around here - LOL!

I always cook more so we have extra. First, our guests yesterday made extra plates to take home with them. As for the rest, the rolls, stuffing and sweet potato casseroles are favorites so they'll get eaten today and tomorrow. The extra turkey gets shredded and packed for the freezer for quick BBQ turkey sandwiches later. I've already packed up the mashed potatoes and the green beans for the freezer as well. I love being able to grab a quick pack from the freezer when making dinner after work.

I'm hoping to catch one of those smoked turkeys on clearance this weekend to make some additional freezer sandwich packs too. Depending on the price, I might grab two. ::yes::

I have Thanksgiving leftovers and we will be eating them. I only give away a few leftovers, so I have most of them. We will be eating turkey sandwiches, too. :)

I voted "other."

The hosts (my in-law's) don't give leftovers, but we're all invited back for dinner tonight to help eat the leftovers. We had a family member who had to work (paramedic) yesterday and couldn't attend Thanksgiving dinner, but he'll be there tonight for leftover night. My mother-in-law used to make most of the leftovers into a layered casserole -- which is somewhat creative (but I was not a fan of that at all!). But now she mostly leaves everything separate so everyone can take what they want,

Had a lovely meal but I purposely didn’t take any leftovers besides turkey slices and stuffed fish. Still have a good amt of fresh veggies to use up at home.
The fish will be added to fried rice but the turkey slices will be used to make an open faced sandwich.

I do not have Thanksgiving leftovers. We were invited to our daughter and son-in-law’s for Thanksgiving dinner. Their kids were with their other parents, so it was just the four of us. She is quite adventurous in her cooking, and made all new recipes for the meal. Everything was wonderful, Cornish hens, tossed salad with all sorts of yummy things in it, roasted carrots, stuffing and gravy, and a potato casserole, and dinner rolls. And of course pumpkin pie, and caramel apple pie for dessert. So good, and the company was even better❤️🙂

Since everyone was sick I came home with lots of leftovers. DH had a meal when I got home. There is enough for us to have another meal then we will have turkey sandwiches, I’ll make a pot pie and that should use it all up.

I brought home 2 of the things I made for DS's house. Pumpkin Crumble Custard and Cranberry Salad. We will eat them just as they are.
The rest stayed there. DS needs the leftovers as DIL left for her mother's today for 2 weeks. Without us here for kid duty as needed, it is going be very hard on him

Leftovers are one of our favorite parts of Thanksgiving. Most times we just eat them as is, but sometimes I get creative. Leftover cranberry sauce goes really nicely on vanilla ice cream, leftover stuffing can pair well with a pork chop, and turkey can go well into casseroles/rice/tacos/etc.

Not sure how creative it is, but I always make pot pie after thanksgiving with the leftovers. And I freeze the carcass for soup later. One year I actually put the carcass in right away and made the soup and froze it for later -- was convenient because I didn't have to wrap up the bones.

This year, I'm traveling for work on Sunday, so there might not be pot pie (which was for the kids anyway, and they're not here to enjoy it).

We only had 10 for lunch yesterday.

I sent food home, and we have a couple of portions of each of the sides left and a lot of turkey meat. Surprisingly, more of the ham was eaten than I thought.

It's just dh and I, so after this weekend, I will freeze the leftovers and do something with them later.

I did enjoy apple pie for breakfast this morning 😋.

My family went somewhere else to eat so I could put the Christmas tree up in peace, and they brought me back a big plate of food. I ate that, and now there are no Thanksgiving-y foods in the house. I will miss the turkey sandwiches.

We have leftovers and I have donated a frozen meal to a food bank. We have shared some left over ham with my family for breakfast. We’ll have a few leftover Turkey and the fixings meals, and I will add things as needed.

We do enjoy leftovers!

I have some leftovers because I made the meal for myself. When we have a big family meal I never have left overs. Even the things I bring don’t come home with me.

I’ll finish them up over the next few days.
