Where did she find the gift card deals, @Micca? I'm always on the lookout to save some $$$ for my trips (although last trip, $550 mysteriously disappeared from my DGC! It was found and reinstated, but that was a pretty crappy 20 hours to end my trip...)
There's a whole thread in the Budget board section about this. Giftcards dot com had some, Target has online offers in the app, there are many others

I haven't gone shopping purely because it's Black Friday for a few years. I've bought a few bits today because I needed them, and some years I'll get things if I need christmas presents but that's it.

I have never been a Black Friday shopper.

We were at the farm/hardware store at 6 am to snag their "free after rebate" items and some other things. Busy there. Then at Walmart at 7 am for just everyday stuff we needed and it was just like any other day there.

Just reviewed my Kohls cart online and deleted it all. But I placed an Amazon order. We are almost done. Just need to get a gift card, the girls' annual huge pack of toilet paper, and 2 grab bag gifts, after we know if that Christmas is going to happen.

I made a Chewy order since they had a gift card deal today only ($40 ecard with a $100 order).

Midwestern regional grocery store, unfortunately not in your neck of the woods. I wonder if another grocery chain in your area has a similar deal? Not sure of the exact numbers but the deal is "Spend $XXX on gift cards, get grocery store gift cards." Of course we buy the gift cards with the Disney Visa, so more reward points:earsboy:

Watched my Grandkids all day yesterday. They circled a million things in wishbooks Grandma had acquired so now I know what to get when I do start shopping.

I am in Williamsburg, VA this weekend and while I did go out to some of the stores, Target and so on, I went nowhere near the outlet mall here in town. I drove by mid-morning and there was a line to get into the parking lot that had to be 3 miles long. No way I was doing that!
