No high school football evenings now. We did go to 4 years of HS ball and 1 year of college ball when Vince played 30 years ago. Fun times back then.

When my daughter was a cheerleader I went to all the home games. It was really more to see her though and not the games.

I like football, but I've never been to a high school game. However, when we were in Syracuse we had season tickets for SU for three seasons? Four maybe? We enjoy watching football on TV, though, and will have games tuned in for most of the weekend. Often it's background noise, or "on" while we are reading or working, but we watch a fair amount of football in this house!

No Friday Night Lights for me. I love football, but we don't know anyone on the team and I didn't grow up here, so there's no reason to go watch. The girls will go sometimes for bigger games, but it's such a pain. The games are played at our county stadium, parking is madness, cell service inside the stadium is awful, and it's not in a great area. There were some issues last year involving some of the other schools in the district, so they shifted to a clear bag policy. Last weekend was homecoming...I spent 15 minutes circling the lot to find parking and another 20-30 waiting for the girls to see that I was there because texts and calls weren't going through. At least there's a ton of police presence at the games and throughout the lots.

I don't go to high school games, but my godson (he's five) has just started playing football so I go to his games. It's hilarious watching all the little ones run the wrong way and fall down trying to knock each other over.

How about HS and college softball, Sandy?

That’s my girl!❤️
I’m such a proud momma!
I definitely never missed one of her games :goodvibes

Even though she graduated in 2022, I still go to the high school games because there’s several girls playing that I know. It’ll be a while before I no longer go to those games 🙂🥎

I don’t go cause I don’t care for football. But my daughter might do colorguard next year so that might change. Colorguard performs with marching band at halftime and at competitions.

I go occasionally, and only home games. So far this season I have only attended one. Often I forget about them, partially because sometimes they are on Friday, sometimes Saturday, and they even had a Thursday night one a few weeks ago.

I went to 6 years of high school football games because I had a child, niece or nephew who was somehow "involved" with the game. (No football players, but band, cheer, dance team, etc.) Everyone I went to see has graduated, so I don't go anymore.

If, in the future, someone I love is "involved" and I am able, I'll definitely go to support them. However, I doubt I'll go to another high school football game till then.

😁 I watched my fair share of high school field hockey and lacrosse games because that’s what my DDs played. We still catch a few of her old college team lacrosse games, they’ve done well in the NCAA div 3 tournament the last few years.

I occasionally go to a game these days. I went to football games constantly when I first started teaching and when I sponsored a class. The home football games are pretty big social events for the little town where I work. The team is having a winning season so far, so it's been a big deal this year.

I went when I was a student and a few times after I graduated. My Sister was still in the school so I went to a few with her.
No one in the family has played so no interest in going.

I am not a sports fan, and don’t have any friends or extended family with kids in school, so I don’t attend. I went to school up north so I wouldn’t attend as an alumni either (not that I attended when I was in school either though).

Timely question for us! DH and I are babysitting the grandkids while DD and DSIL attend a high school football game with friends. It’s not their old school, I have a bad head cold, and I’m not sure why we’re here.
I’ll just sign off as cranky grandma! 🥹
