I always do the right foot first for either socks or shoes. I'm right-handed so this makes sense to me.

Most often left sock/shoe, right sock/shoe. But occasionally both socks then both shoes later. But always left first.

I am right handed but way back when was told I was left footed. Supposedly if you stand with your feet together and jump if you land with one foot in front of the other that is your dominant foot.

Not something I think about, but definitely both socks first, before shoes. I would say the order of left and right is random. And like others, I usually don’t wear shoes inside, and don’t put them on until right before I leave the house.

Maybe because I have cold feet and wear socks almost all the time, but I find it odd that so many seem to put on sock and shoe on one foot and then sock and shoe on the other foot. I'm right-handed and usually do everything with the right side first.

Left shoe first for me. Socks first then shoes.

I am saying this from memory. I may be wrong but I don’t think so!

I do right sock then left sock followed by right shoe and left shoe. I am right handed.

I'm really liking how many have included if they are right or left handed.

I am right handed, and do everything with my right foot first :thumbsup2

I hadn't thought about it before, but , you know, I think I pretty much always do left foot first. I don't know why. Habit, I guess.

It varies whether I do socks first or sock/shoe sock/shoe. Funny the things you do on autopilot.

Well.....used to be socks first, generally right first then left, then shoes (same order).

But, recent hip surgery has messed things up. I can't reach right foot, so left sock & shoe are first, then right (with help from DH).

I am kind of ambidextrous, doing some things exclusively left handed and some things exclusively right handed. So I sometimes do the left foot first and sometimes the right foot. I do a sock and a shoe and a sock and a shoe though, since I am usually transitioning from my Crocs I wear in the house to shoes I wear out of the house.

Left sock and shoe first. I’m not sure why but I’ve always done it this way. Only mildly superstitious. I’m ambidextrous, throw right, hit mostly lefty in baseball but can hit from the right side. Lefty shot in hockey but shoot right when playing basketball. I write right handed but can scribble somewhat lefty.

What a quirky topic, I wonder how the OP thought about something like this. I only wear socks for three months out of the year here and the rest of the time it's Toms or Converse sans socks. I honestly think I don't have a set pattern. It's usually just a matter as to which shoe is closer to me, I guess.

Both socks on before shoes, but I really don’t know if I follow a set pattern as to which foot goes first. It might be random, it might always be right foot first.

It’s not something I think about, just happens automatically.

The only time I might do sock-shoe-sock-shoe is after leaving the beach or pool wearing flip flops then changing into sneakers. Wipe off one foot completely with a towel, put on sock and shoe. Then repeat with other foot.
