As pictured in OP, I like ripe to very ripe. Marie likes barely ripe to maybe ripe. A fleck of brown is generally a no for Marie. I could do barely ripe, if needed.

Eta--morning or afternoon. Sometimes sliced into cereal

I only very occasionally eat them in cereal. We go through a ton of them in my house though because DH snd DS favorite snack is bananas and peanut butter. They won’t eat them even a little green or if they start to get brown and mottled, but they usually don’t make it that far because they go through them fast. They’re a healthy and cheap, the perfect snack

I love bananas. Would eat at least one a day, but I am so picky about how ripe they are. I like them barely ripe. Once they get to ripe I can maybe have it one more day, but after that no thank you. It's a texture thing for me.

Though ripe IS good for things like oatmeal.

DH eats one every day with breakfast. I'll have one maybe two or three times a week with breakfast. I prefer them in the middle of the pictures. No green, but few spots.

Barely ripe, but rarely buy them. Too much sugar and not enough fiber to offset it.

I like bananas, barely ripe to very ripe. When they start to get very ripe to overripe I either bake banana bread or muffins or toss them in the freezer to bake with later. I think my favorite is when they are still pretty firm, slicing them over my bran flakes for breakfast.

I have started keeping the top of the bunch covered to slow down the ripening. Generally seems to help a good bit.

I like bananas, but cannot eat them past the barely ripe or ripe stage. After that, I gag on them. At that point, I save them for banana bread.

Well at first I voted ripe, but then looked again at your pictures and changed to barely ripe. I like a lovely yellow banana with no brown spots. i eat several bananas a week.

DH likes them ripe. If/when they get overripe I make chocolate banana peanut butter muffins or just freeze the mashed banana to use later to make said muffins. My recipe only makes 6 muffins which is perfect for DH since it gets him through the work week as breakfast.

I don’t have bananas very often, but prefer ripe. Thus I tended to buy them barely ripe to ripe, to avoid them becoming overripe before I consumed them!

Never been that big of a fan for raw bananas, but they just taste OK when ripe and don't eat that often. They tend to only last 3-4 days when you bring them home from the grocery store. Seem to recall watching some show that talked about how bananas are picked while still green so they have time to ripen during shipping. My guess is they taste best if left to ripen on the tree, but unless you live in some tropical climate, likely that isn't possible for most people.
