Saw in the news yesterday that avian flu was just detected in MD and DE, decided to get another dozen at Aldi today while they are still $3.49. We go through about a dozen a week.

Bought some at Ralph's (Krogers) in SoCal yesterday. $8.99 for a dozen. Another woman and I stared several minutes before taking a deep breath and buying them at that price. Crazy!

DD tried two different Acmes but both were sold out. No rainchecks.

I personally don’t want 30 eggs at a time but we were going to split them.
DH grabbed them Saturday afternoon while getting his free donut and a six pack of beer. The guy at the check out was like "wow, that's quite a discount on eggs and a FREE donut!" LOL.

I figured they would run out quickly with the eggs which is so annoying. I use eggs well past the best by date with no ill effects so I figure I'll either use them up or share with my parents. I also just started making egg bites in a mini muffin pan so I can freeze a batch or two to use up some extra. Between that deal and butter at Shoprite being on sale last week for $2.99/lb (limit 4) and actually in stock I feel like I at least got to take advantage of some good loss leaders.

LOL. $7.46.
We just paid $7.42 for the Great Value Walmart brand for a dozen medium sized eggs. It was the last cartoon of Great Value eggs on the shelves.

Whatever other brands they sell were $9.95-$11.50/dozen. We don't shop at Walmart so I have no idea what other brands they were selling. I just looked at the prices.

Eggs, at Acme grocery store, in NE Ohio, are $5.99 a doz for the store brand. I admit I went into shock the first time I went to the store and saw the increase. I have boiled eggs every day so I’ll just have to get used to it.

Costco today $7.29 for 2 dozen. I didn't need them since we are leaving soon, but got some for DD and DIL.
Organic weren't much different $7.59

Depending on the Store anywhere from $4.00 to $6.00. If there is a sale maybe in the upper $3.00s. I mostly shop at Acme , Wegmans and ShopRite 12 count. I usually buy the store brand or England's Best Large. The bird flu seems to hit hard as the cases aren't as filled as a few months ago.

ordered my new chicks today... was going to take a break from keeping chickens as my current flock is down to two old hens, but the eggs over the last couple of years have been so chaotic I took the plunge and will build a new flock.

Getting Barred Rocks, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, and Black Stars in case there are other curious chicken keepers here.

$5.29 a dz in Western Mass

My neighbors down the road keep a flock and that's where I get my eggs from. Much better price for sure. :)
