Voted for standard, waffle and crinkle but the only things on that list I wouldn't enjoy are the smiley and sweet potato fries.

BTW, I have made a recent discovery to share with y'all: McCain's beer battered fries. These are the best frozen french fries I've ever tried, I cooked them in the air fryer and they were outstanding. Doesn't matter if you don't like beer, they just taste like really delicious french fries.

Thanks to Sandy and her polls I think I'm ready for some fish & chips;):fish:

Steak fries from Curley's on the Wildwood boardwalk doused with salt and malt vinegar, and washed down with a fresh lemonade. Nothing better!

What you call "crinkle" is what I consider standard restaurant french fries.
What you call standard is what is sold in the grocery store as "fast food fries". This would be the thin fries sold by McDonalds and In and Out.

I have had good and not so good examples of just about all the types. So I am willing to give any of them a shot and hope it is one of the better ones!

I like most fries regardless of shape. I usually avoid anything called "seasoned fries" unless they tell you what they're seasoned with. I don't know what kind of seasoning "seasoned fries" have, but I tend not to like it, regardless of restaurant.

No to curly, steak, smilely, and home fries. The others are all good.

Thanks for your bonus poll, Sandy, along with all your other fun, informative polls during the week, mush appreciated. Have a great weekend, stay cool.

I'd also like to say a word about hashbrowns. The word is YUUUUUUUMMMMM:D Not sure if they belong in this poll because they aren't fries, but if home fries are included.... :)

I also like fries with "stuff." We're currently at a hotel in Louisiana due to the hurricane and I had fries covered with cheese and shrimp etouffee last night.
I do too, as a guilty pleasure. Love a good poutine when I can get it. ::yes::

Depends on the place of course, but generally I agree. I grew up eating frozen crinkle fries as the standard. McD’s style are what I would call shoestrings, also sold frozen in supermarkets here.

Don't care for Sweet Potato, Tater Tots or Smiley.Do like Thin Cut aka Shoestring. They all have to be hot, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside.

Crinkle cut fries are my favorite in general. In my opinion, Culver’s fries are perfection. That said, I really like just regular fries from like McD’s too.

I like fries in general. However those tiny fries like Freddys are my least favorite (granted the sauce is good) they take too much effort to grasp and stick them in my mouth unfortunately.

RE: Tater Tots… I also like those!

I like all of them except crinkle cut - those are an abomination IMO.
The manager at the local pub switched to them to save money and when I told the owners they flipped out.

Can live without the smiley face ones, but Ill eat them.

I like them with curry sauce. Coleslaw is also good. Salt and Vinegar. Spice bag. Mayonnaise is actually really good with them as well. I also like to mix the mayo with siracha or some such. Lots of options.

I voted ALL the fries! :rotfl:

But I'd say my three favs are:
🍟 Seasoned curly fries
🍟 Skin on "fair fries" with malt vinegar
🍟 Sweet potato fries dipped in blue cheese dressing

Agree, they are good. We use those when I'm too lazy to cut up a potato. Yeah, I have a really low bar. Honey, I don't feel like cutting up a bunch of vegs for a roast and do all that clean up. Hot dog and beer battered fries in the air fryer is almost as good ,right??????
