No in store shopping. I spent 10 years on the other side of the cash register on Black Fridays in the 1990s. Even when I had a job where I took off.
I might do some online shopping tonight.
Of course grocery shopping doesn't count. That I have done.

No shopping. Had my grandkids (6 and 5) over for the day. A couple of my sister's grandkids (7 and 5) came by so they could play all day with mine. This Grandma is exhausted but it was a great day and it's always fun to see the kids interact with their cousins. It is nicer when it's summertime as we have a big big yard for them to play in.

I voted other. I have never gone Black Friday shopping & didn’t plan to today. We had tickets to a 2pm movie. About 10 minutes before we were planning to leave, the sound bar hooked to our main TV went out. It was about 8 years old & we had noticed some issues for the last couple of months. Best Buy is only 5 minutes from the movie theater, so I said to my husband…at least it’s Black Friday. . After the movie we headed straight to Best Buy. The store was really busy, but my husband was able to talk to a sales associate pretty quickly & was shown one that fit his needs on sale for half price. Unbelievably we were in & out in about 15 minutes.

I wasn't planning on it, no. I have a bit of extra money left in the bank though, so I might check out Amazon to see if there's a deal I can take advantage of for a couple of gifts.
I bought 4 things on DGD's list a few days ago. Today I rechecked prices. Out of about $80 total, one item was 49 cents cheaper. All had black Friday banner with them like it was a special price.

I noticed that, too. I've been eyeing up a few of things for a couple of weeks now and found two items that were marked for Black Friday that were the exact same price they've always been.

I did a lot of browsing online, but ultimately didn’t buy anything today. I did receive a delivery of some items I ordered earlier in the week though, and have another package arriving tomorrow.

I am not. But my wife just got home excited that she got 4 bras for $60. But she had to go to 3 stores before she found a store with any bras in stock.
I would take advantage of Black Friday sales when the kids were little and stock up on underwear and socks for them because they don’t go on sale as often. Finding items in stock anymore at stores is hard, they only get a few of each item.

IHG (Holiday Inn) has a Black Friday sale on and you can save even more if you use the app. I am redoing some of my reservations for next month and saving $10-$15 per night.

I bought quite a bit of stuff online. Some for us and some for gifts. The only places I went in person was Clothes Mentor (they had 40% off the entire store from 10-12 AM) and Costco. Clothes Mentor was not too busy except there was a huge line for the dressing rooms. I ended up trying on a few things over my tee shirt and didn't wait in the line. Costco wasn't busy at all - I was very surprised.

I did all of my Black Friday shopping online. I worked on Fri so I was unable to participate in the brick and mortar like I used to.

I DID however go to Meijer (I don't really consider that Black Friday shopping) and get some bread and coffee on Friday afternoon... it was really no different than a typical Friday at that point.

Was planning to just shop for fun and not buy anything. Then my dad reminded me that we have tickets for a vintage biplane ride on Tuesday, the weather has turned crisp, and we didn't pack anything warmer than hoodies. So I was able to find a really great deal on brown leather bomber jackets with the faux shearling collars....they'll go perfectly with the old-fashioned pilot caps we'll be required to wear. So we'll be all cute for the video :)

I did a bit of both online and in person. Although none if it was planned ahead of time. Ulta had my eye makeup remover for half price, so I bought two, and a new mascara to try. Last night I purchased a few things online from American Girl (20% off) and REI (no sale but used rewards dollars). Also shopped online at Micro Center, but I need to go pick it up in person. Save $100 on a 3D printer for my DS.

The only thing we bought yesterday was new cell phone charging cables for me via Amazon. They were a few bucks off but not expensive to begin with either. My old cable went out and I've been using a really short one for a few weeks now that came with portable chargers we have. I like having the longer cable length, I think the new ones are the same as the old one something like 6 feet maybe?

In years past we would hit the jackpot in purchasing kitty litter at Petsmart but for the last several years (including just before the pandemic) that amazing deal hasn't been found. It was such a good deal people would get flat bed carts and haul them out to their cars.

Only bought one thing on Black Friday and it was on line. The LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower. I shop my local Lego store often and they recommended to purchase on line. I'm really not a Black Friday shopper. Too crowded for me.

No shopping for me yesterday but DH bought something that already came today. Kitchenaid cordless immersion blender. First one ever.

Over Thanksgiving dinner the topic came up that maybe it’s time to add one to the kitchen. We try to limit kitchen real estate. The bigger something is the more useful and versatile it must be. DH happened to see one on Amazon and in less than 24hrs it’s arrived. Bring on the soups and sauces!

I used to participate in the in person BF shopping. I had the family organized like it was a military mission. I started at 11:PM (Back when that is when it started) and I packed a lunch, usually winding down at around 8Am or so.

Now, no way.

A) stores aren't really marking anything down enough to lure me out
B) we already have all the big ticket items we need
C) if my kids don't come up with Christmas list soon, they are both getting socks for Christmas

My wife went out with her mom for a while on Friday morning and then later that night, I went back out with my wife to get a few other things at the outlets near us.
