Since talking about life insurance is boring, but I’m finding the replies interesting, I thought I’d do a 2nd poll today.

Do you watch the TV show Yellowstone and/or 1883?
If yes, which one?
If yes, what’s your opinion on these shows?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I‘m watching both for the first time now and DH is watching a 2nd time for my benefit (Yellowstone is his favorite TV show). We just finished 1883 and I loved it. I loved it so much that I want to watch it again. I enjoy reading and watching historical fictions. I just started Yellowstone and I’m only on episode 3 and I’m liking it, but it’s not pulling me in like 1883 did. I’m not thinking during the day - I can hardly wait to watch Yellowstone! I did think that about 1883.

Would love to but another $8 monthly fee to watch 1 show, I'm passing.

Well, two $8ish fees I suppose since they're on different apps.

I dvr’d seasons 1 - 3 of Yellowstone during a marathon, got to season 2, and my dvr erased them all. How can I watch 2 and 3?

Yes to both. Love Yellowstone. 1883 I’m very slow trying to get into it. My husband loves it. I’m more like it’s ok, I’ll sit here with you and play my FB Games on my iPad (pretending to watch, but can’t really get into it) Lol

I haven't.....but it isn't because I have anything against them.
My line up for TV shows is long and they aren't a priority

I've never heard of either of them. The TV is on all the time here, but I don't pay much attention. We listen to news channels and sports, and DH is into old movies, history, documentaries. We watched some of the Netflix, etc, series at the beginning of the pandemic (like Ozark) but don't really watch anything regularly. I'll put on Bob's Burgers or one of the cooking shows while I'm folding laundry or something, but for people who have the TV on a LOT, we actually watch very little.

Love them both a lot! And I have a “Beth Dutton State of Mind” t-shirt😁

Never heard of 1883. I guess the 80's nostalgia is so popular that they're going back to the 1880's to outdo Stranger Things and others?

I only heard about Yellowstone when I saw the DVD display stand. It's already been on for multiple seasons, never seen a second of it. Costner seems like a good fit for that type of show.

I'm like this with some movies, they become background noise while I'm doing something else. I'm loving Ozarks though, I'm glued to it. Used to watch Bob's Burgers until it left Netflix.

Watched Yellowstone and thought it was fantastic...it's like "Dallas" on steroids. The Beth Dutton character may be the best thing going in 2022. Haven't watched 1883, it might be a bit too rustic for my tastes.

I notice our neighborhood grocery store selling a "Don't Make Me Go All Beth Dutton On You" t-shirt.

Don’t watch much TV but my husband and I watch 1883 and Yellowstone together. My Uncle is a retired fish and game biologist for the state of Montana, so it’s fun to see all of the amazing scenery and see them fly fish. Did that growing up with my dad and uncle in UT, MT and WY.

Never watched them. I don't watch too many dramas and I don't like westerns, so it's a hard pass from me.

I like Yellowstone. I thought 1883 was pretty good - I thought the whole cast did well but the story could have used some improvement.

Yellowstone is so raunchy, yet the storyline is so compelling. We fast forward through parts or I watch with my hands over my eyes between gaps in my fingers lol.

I would like it more if it could be toned down and the language cleaned up.

Watched the 1st 2 free episodes of 1883 and would watch more, if I got the chance.

I watched episode 1&2 of season 1 of Yellowstone with my boyfriend a couple weeks ago looks interesting. Now I have Yellowstone seasons 1-4 on my library request list (season 2-4 suspended). I’ll get them eventually.
