Well friends….my DH and I just almost finished the last season of Cobra Kai  (I say almost because the very last episode comes out on 2/16/25. For those that don’t know what Cobra Kai is about…..

This show has been entertaining and fun to watch. I understand why it’s ending, but I’m still bummed out about it. If you remember The Karate Kid movies from the 80s, then you should give this show a try - it’s entertaining, cheesy and fun. If you haven’t seen The Karate Kidmovies from the 80s, you should watch that first. This will be a fun winter thing to watch. What I’m wondering today……

Have you watched Cobra Kai?
If yes…..which seasons?
(multiple choice)

For Me……As I mentioned above, yes, I’ve watched all seasons of Cobra Kai. I really enjoyed this show and I’m glad we’ve watched it.

I have watched it since it started.
Haven't watched the last part of season 6 yet. I will when I finish Virgin River.

Karate Kid movie is what got my kids into karate. DD was 3 when she started.

My oldest loved Karate Kid and thus took lessons. He got up to his black stripe but gave it all up for basketball when he was 12.

I've never watched Cobra Kai, but I think we will check it out now that I know what it is about. :)

DD too a break when she entered middle school, she wanted to play soccer. She was a brown belt.
Went to 3 Junior Olympics when she was 8, 9 and 10......won many gold medals and trophies.
She started again when she moved to AZ......broke her wrist and then her foot, so she stopped.

Yes, DH and I started watching since season 1. That first season is the best. All of the actors are good, but William Zabka is the BEST, returning as Johnny. He is just hilarious, and still is, even in the 6th season. Lots of great cameos throughout. DH grew tired of it a couple seasons back, and yes, it's gotten ridiculously repetitive, with silly teen drama, silly 80s movie plot twists, etc. but I'm still enjoying it, and will watch until the end. It's been great fun, especially the first couple seasons.
I just saw a trailer for a new Karate Kid movie, with Ralph Macchio, and Jackie Chan, I'll probably check that out at some point. I liked the remake with Jackie Chan. I never saw the 3rd Karate kid movie, so one day, I'll go back and watch that one .

Don't forget about the new movie:

I never watched it.

We did see Ralph Macchio narrate the Candlelight Processional. I will definitely check out the new movie.

This is my other story - about adult Karate Kid Ralph Macchio. He lives in my area. His wife is a nurse at a local hospital. He took his son to a bowling league and my sons wanted to be his coach but they had another person do it. The desk person wanted his autograph and the only thing she had available quickly was a napkin so he signed it. My friend has seen him at a local grocery store.
I haven’t seen the show.

Heard good things about it, but never watched. I have never been able to get through the Karate Kid movies. I swear they start with wax on, wax off, and I am out cold asleep. I have tried many times to watch it but it is always the same result.

Haha, sounds a bit like me. I saw the original movie when it was released and thought it was cute. Have never wanted to see it again, or watch the sequels.

I'm not familiar with the movie, have not heard of it. I did see one Karate Kid movie, many years ago, maybe when our kids were taking karate, so like maybe 40 years ago?

Never heard of it until just now. Never seen the Karate Kid, so not likely.
Actually, we have been binge watching original episodes of Perry Mason. The number of actors who later became stars, were big stars already, or known for other roles on the show is mind blowing.
Ryan O'Neal, Robert Redford, James Cobern, Angie Dickinson, Barbara Eden, Dick Clark, Burt Reynolds, Adam West, Neil Hamilton, Gavin Macleod (several times) Bette Davis, Leonard Nimoy, Jackie Coogan (several times) Dick Clark, George Takei, Marion Ross, Walter Pidgeon, Hugh O’Brian, Michael Rennie, and Mike Connors.

I still have this current 5 episode drop to watch (I have been xmas shows only since it came out), but I LOVE Cobra Kai. I should say love hate, they do the stupidest things sometimes that make me yell at the TV, but I still just love it. I adore Johnny LOL.
