🎅🏼🎄✨ Merry Christmas Eve ✨🎄🎅🏼

*No poll tomorrow - Christmas Day morning is always a busy morning for me.

Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade is a big part of many people’s Christmas morning. This parade has been televised since 1983 and I know I’ve been watching it for that long. I’m magically curious this Christmas Eve morning…….

Do you watch Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade?
If yes…..for how long?
If no……did you ever watch?
If yes…..when did you stop watching?
(multiple choice)

For Me…….Yes, I watch it every year, but not as closely as I did when I was younger. When I was a kid, I’d watch it from start to finish. As a young adult and newly married, I wouldn’t see the start, because I was sleeping in and I’d always turn it on when I woke up (we were not hosting holidays yet). Once we had the girls and hosting holidays, the parade was on for them and I’d watch it as I was getting everything ready for guests and now today it’s the same way - my DD21 will put it on when it starts and it’ll be on until it’s over. I will watch it as I’m bustling around the house - luckily the family room TV can be seen from the kitchen. I do enjoy this parade and it will always be on until it’s not televised anymore.

Good morning, @slo ! I try to watch the parade but usually get too busy and forget.
Hope you have a good holiday! Merry Christmas!

It'll be on while we're doing various things. I'm a die-hard Disney guy, but a lot of the "Parade" has less to do with Disney and more about someone lip-syncing something I don't care about. I think Elton may be on and I'd enjoy that.

Merry Christmas everyone, I look forward to seeing you all here in the new year, To Slo, Thank You for getting us together on a daily basis :santa:

It is a Christmas tradition to watch the parade I never miss it I don’t think it’s as good and entertaining as it used to be but I always watch it I have been in Disney 13 times for when they were taping years and years ago but I have not ever been part of the audience for the taping !
But I would never miss it I enjoy watching it and seeing the parks and I had the delusion of thinking how awesome it would be to be at DISNEY for Christmas so I did it one year and I’ll never make that mistake again🤣🤣🤣 because it’s not my cup of tea way way too crowded!!!
I’m wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a most happy new year!!! Happy Hanukkah happy Kwanzaa !!

We never have time to watch the parade. We always drive to relatives on Christmas morning. We need to be out the door by approximately 10:00am.

I’ve never seen it. There is to much going on for me to watch it. Our tv doesn’t usually get turned on, on Christmas. I never think to record it, I’m not even sure when it’s on.

Edit: because of this poll I just set my tv to record it. Excited to see it for the first time.

If we were home on past Christmas mornings, we definitely had the parade on the TV. (Same for Thanksiving mornings.) I don't remember seeing it when I was still with my parents, but definitely within the last 20-25 years as an adult. It is a tradition to watch for our own kids. We were fortunate to spend a Christmas at Disney so it always brings up fun memories. On the flip side, we were also at Disney a couple of times when the taping for the parade was happening.... also fun memories but we know how frustrating it is to navigate the parks while it's happening.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I am not big on the televised Christmas parades, but if I do have one on, it will be the Disney one. It'd still mostly be background noise.

We usually have it up in the background on one of the tvs on Christmas morning. Maybe I'm getting old and cranky, but it's really come to feel more like an advertisement and less like an actual festive Christmas parade. I will turn it on, but more likely to have the audio off and playing one of my holiday music playlists instead.

Well, it was always an advertisment....

Have started watching it in the past, but too much singing and dancing for me.

I wasn't sure how to vote. I have watched it in the past (but I don't have a good estimate of when we started watching) but we don't watch every year and it's usually on in the background while we open gifts.

We have never gotten to watch it live. Always record it. Before DH & DD would watch it too. Now it's just me. I am always finding it less enjoyable but will watch it again this year.

I used to watch it but not in recent years. It's gotten to be too big of an infomercial, too contrived with hired performers and paid spectators in the 'psrsde' sequences.

The parade was always part of Christmas morning with my girls. I don’t watch any longer because I no longer have the ability to (no live TV). The last few times I did see it, it didn’t seem like it was much of a parade anymore and more just the same musical acts they had for the Thanksgiving night Christmas special.
