I am tossing the idea around of going down March 31st through Easter weekend. Our other kids have off that week. I already know that spring breaks/Easter is very very crowded. Is there a chance our daughter can get a day off during such a busy time?? Since we have kids in school this is the best time for going. My parents would like to meet us there and if we go with the idea of not being able to do much in the parks, we are fine. However I would love to be able to see our daughter a couple of times....or even catch a dinner with her after work.

Depending on her work location, it varies. I got lucky (and I do mean lucky) to get off on Easter at 2:30 (went into work at 8:30am and got off 2:30 PM). She can try to get the day off through the HUB once she has access but that is a popular time for days off. My roommate worked at the Magic Kingdom in attractions and she got the day off for Easter cause she requested it at the beginning of her CP. But really it varies on work location. The parks are a zoo during spring break some days. Absolute zoo!

She has a chance of getting a requested day off...but the sooner she requests the day off the better. As soon as she has HUB access she should submit the request on the HUB. The worse they can do is deny the request and then you would know sooner than later. When my daughter did the fall program in QSFB she rarely got any of her requested days approved but it was mostly due to her location, as she had several friends in the same role in other locations and they almost always got their requests approved with no issues, including busy holiday weeks.

When she changed roles with her extension, she was granted pretty much every request off that she submitted. All she can do as submit the request as quickly as possible and she may luck out.

We will probably leave to go home on that Sat. or Easter Sunday...so i was just hoping for a day off during the week. I mean even if she doesn't get off a day....depending on her schedule...maybe we can see her at some point the days we are there.

Everyone is right -- the sooner the day(s) is/are requested on the HUB, the better the chances. It depends on how many other people request the same days off and CPs have the lowest seniority of anyone in a work location.

Even if the day off is denied, there's always the chance that she can give her shift away to someone else who wants it. There might be part time or seasonal people at her location that would be happy to work some extra hours.

It varies... on my first CP I was lucky enough to have Easter Sunday off so you never know! Plus the earlier you put in to have that day off, the more chance you will get it.

We will be gone by Easter Sunday but it would be nice if she could get off one day during that week leading up to Easter Sunday.

She will probably have her regular days off. My daughter took a class and she had off every Thursday and Friday. All locations don't operated that way but most CPs still have two days off a week. And even if she is working a ton of hours you can still see her.

We went the week after Christmas with the whole family as we were going to pick her up then (Jan 3) and it turned out she extended but the family trip was still planned.

She stayed with us and one of us would take her and pick her up from work so she had less commute time. And then once we got her schedule we tweaked our week to include her in the things she would like to do with us. We also "stalked" her at work - and by that I mean we did do her attraction a day she was working. When I made dinner reservations I included her in our count in the event she could make it and I think she did hit quite a few of them.

Where I worked during the weeks around Easter we were scheduled everyday about 60 hours each, because there were longer hours at mk and double parades. There were some cps that I worked with who had one or both weeks off because they had asked off early enough so they could spend time with their family who visited or some went home then.
