Slightly OT - New Nook Owners be prepared----

I received a Nook for Christmas and LOVE it. I was not able to get on the BN website this weekend due to the traffic it was receiving but I figured that a bunch of people must have received a Nook for Christmas. I waited a couple of days and all was fine.

I went to the BN store yeterday to get a cover and noticed that my store has days where they teach you have to use your Nook. I might go just to see if there are any tips and tricks I am missing.

I wanted the Nook mainly because you can read Library books with it.

I've done everything that everyone has recommended. I'm able to "load" books on the b&n site and they are now showing up in my library, but when I go to download them, I'm being told that my payment option isn't being accepted and to call support.
I went on yesterday and changed my payment option to a different card, and unregistered and reregistered the NOOK, and that allowed the books to show up in my queue and allowed me web access (which I didn't have before), but still can't read my books.

Price is always a factor for some people. By no means should people consider the iPad as the first device for book reading. I use the iPad as an extra TV around the house to stream netflix and Hulu, especially if I am baking or cooking dinner. I like the fact I can now read travel books downloaded from the library on it in full color. Otherwise, the Kindle has the best reading screen of any of them. I prefer to do my heavy-duty reading on it.

true, but the price point of an ipad is rather prohibitive when compared to the other e-readers, especially if that's the only use you'll have for it.

My thoughts (and they are just that) are that people who are in the market for an iPad aren't going to use it primarily as an e-reader, while those who are in the market for a Nook, Kindle, or Sony are only looking for an e-reader.
