Our DS's will be 5 yrs. and 16 months during our upcoming trip.We will bee in a 1 bedroon. I am not sure where our 16 month old will sleep. He will be too big for anything smaller than a full size crib. Do they even have crib rentals at the hotel? The only thing I can think of is that DH and DS(5) sleep together in the pull out bed, and I sleep w/ the baby in the bed w/ pillows around him so he doesn't fall out....? Wondering if the hotel has bed rails for toddlers I can rent/borrow? :confused3 I would love to hear what other people do about this...thanks!

The hotel will provide a pack n play (which would be in the closet for you if you choose to use it). You can "rent" a full size crib from an outside vendor that can be delivered to the hotel for you, but the hotels do not usually have them readily avalaible (sometimes they have one or two on stand by but you can't count on that). Check out All about kids www.all-about-kids.com/rental.htm for a crib, their prices seems reasonable and I have seen them at OKW for other members before (I still have a few weeks before I would need them myself :) ) I also found this one, A Baby's Best Friend, that delivers to WDW, but I have not heard of them before (the other I have heard of)... www.abbf.com/pricelist.html

Bedrails are avalaible at request through housekeeping at no charge, but they are first come first serve...if you need them call and have them added to your reservation request prior to your arrival, Housekeeping gets a print out of those types of requests if they know in advance they will usually have extras on hand.

Our daughter has been in a pack and play many times on vacation. She is now 3 1/2 and still prefers that. She has always been in the 99th percentile for height, so she is not a small child.

We have used several locations. Being on wheels, we often change rooms (bedroom to livingroom) after she goes asleep.

When our son was little we just bought one of those bedrail things. I think they are less than $20 at Target or Wal-Mart. Put that up on one side of the bed and we were good. Our son has his older brother to prevent him from falling out the other side.

Disney hotels have bedrails available. I wouldn't even consider having my husband sleep on the pull out. I would try the pack and play and if that didn't work, I would put the cushions from the sofa on the ground and have the baby sleep on them, either that or I would bring one of those blow up character sleeping bags. I honestly don't even remember how small a 16 mo is any longer, sorry, but I have a feeling he would fit in a pack and play. He would be safe in one too!

When I reserved 2 two-bedroom villas at SSR, the Cm asked me if I needed full sized cribs and 3 were added to be ressie - so don't know the entire story, but pack and play will never do for my grandchildren.

Are you sure that these cribs were guaranteed? I bet they are just a request.

they are a request. i call down on arrival and request the full size crib, i've gotten them at BWV and VWL for my now 16m old. my 3yr then sleeps on the pullout.

i put the crib between the bed and the bathroom wall. (btw, there is more space for this at VWL than at BWV i noticed. i really think the bedroom is bigger at VWL)

That is good to know I will try that first before ordering one from an outside company. Do you bring your own sheets , etc? Thanks for the info!

The last time we were at the BCV, we requested a full-size crib when we arrived. One was brought to our two-bedroom villa within just a short period of time. Good luck and have fun! :)

it will have a sheet on it. at VWL they even provided a small blanket. we bring her own though.

the 'full size' crib is smaller than one you'd have at home, but bigger than the pack and play. the ones i've gotten are metal and the sides do not come down. i should have taken a picture! i didn't think of it then. a lot of people ask about it.

I have a picture from OKW. This was the full size crib that housekeeping brought. I though I had some better pictures, but they were all movies.

THis is my little guy at 17 mo. in the crib - note all the extra room, he just liked stuffing himself in the corner

Wow, thanks for the pics...I think I will need to have a back up plan beacause DS is 7 months now and is about the same size as your son in that photo! He weighs 25 pounds and is very long...I feel like he will be too small even for that crib you showed. So for now I will wait until closer to the trip to decide, but it looks like I may have to do a rental for a real full size crib for my DS.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom at BCV in December. We rented a crib through a company that was recommended on the Families board (can't remember it for the life of me). Anyway it was set up for us when we got there inbetween the bed and the door leading out to the balcony.

My ds had just turned 2. I will say that we have rented from http://www.abbf.com
A Baby's Best Friend before and the quality of their cribs was much better than what we got this last time. Although, the company that we used set the crib up for us and ABBF does not. The one from ABBF is very easy to put together though.

Here is a picture of the set up and crib that we had in our 1bdrm at BCV
