Has anone stayed at this hotel? Looking to plan our next vacation, we want something close to Universal, and we are trying to do this trip cheap. There will only be myself and my husband. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated since this trip is just in the planning stages. We are not renting a car so we will have to depend on shuttle transportation, which is no biggy since we don't have any children with us. Aslo we want to be on or close to International Drive to take advantage of the trolley and all the shops. Thanks to all. These boards have been a great help.

I haven't stayed at a Sleep Inn in Florida, but have stayed at them and thought they were a great place.

You might try www.tripadvisor.com for more info. Just locate the hotel by address and you can read recent and past reviews.

HTH :D

I stayed at the Sleep Inn on Major Blvd a few years ago for a strictly UO trip without a car. It was a decent hotel, and had a Wendys right behind it for late-night snacks.

Shuttle service (at that time anyway) services four hotels, but was quick, on time, and we always got a seat. Shuttle pick-up at UO is WAY closer than the parking garages are, so it was actually a plus not to drive there!

Check out rates at hotelkingdom.com for this property. We stayed one night at Red Roof Inn on Major last summer prior to check-in at RP, and we were pleased with that as well (for about 30% less than Sleep Inn). Both are interior walkways with free breakfast.

All in all, Major Blvd is an okay location, but I'm not sure if it's on the trolley line. Couldn't walk to I-drive for sure. If somebody posts the trolley line link that might help you.

Here's the link:

I pulled my map from our last trip and the Sleep Inn is trolley stop #2 on the Main Line North Bound

Hope this helps.

Thank you so very much for the trolley info, this will be a great help with the planning of our trip. Since we won't be renting a car the trolley will come in handy, hence the motel on the route. If anyone else has anything regarding hotels and such please post..it makes planning a trip so much easier..once again thank you.
