We are going for 3 nights in March, and its £100 more for HNY than SL, so roughly £33 a night.

What do you guys think? Is it worth the extra ££?

Thanks :)

Well, I think this is a pretty tough one and you will have a pretty mixed reaction - I can't decide myself.

Sequoia is Obv cheaper and has a nicer theming (IMHO)

BUT HNY is a shorter walk (only a couple of minutes though) and you get hot breakfast included.

Both are great hotels, I think (seeing as you've stayed at SL twice) maybe try HNY this time jsut for a change?

One warning!!! These boards are notorious for making people upgrade to DLH!! Lol, so be careful about thnking too much about upgrades!!!

That bunny is the sweetest thing EVER!!!!

I agree with Torsie, I think the SL has better theming and more fun, the NY is more grown up and business like, but you get a hot breakfast and slightly shorter walk (only a few mins though).

I am sure you will have a great time in either!

I actually really liked the HNY...I have never stayed in the SL though.

I loved the fact that the HNY was like a 5 min walk to the park.

we had the same dilemma, we however decided that we could get an extra night at SL for cheaper upgrading to HNY, so thats what we did!!! :thumbsup2

we are not bothered about a hot breakfast, and don't think much further to walk, and we love the theming of the SL

We have stayed once at SL and three times at HNY and I MUCH prefer everything about HNY including the theming!!! IMHO it is def worth an extra £100 and IMHO it will make your trip that much more special...now if you really want to have a great time stay at the DLH if your bank book permits!!

We had the same problem of deciding between SL & HNY but we have gone for HNY this time for a change plus it's a slightly shorter walk to the village/parks.

i would love to stay at both but i would go for the hny

Haven't stayed at HNY but would like to, have stayed at SL twice and I'm not a fan. If it was me and I had the money available, I'd go for the HNY. :)

I have stayed in both several times. I like both but the HNY would be my choice personally:thumbsup2 I like the theming & the rooms are slightly bigger.

Great advice guys thanks :)

HNY it is!!!

I think you've done the right thing. £100 to try a different hotel isn't bad imo.

I'd love the cooked breakfast in the morning, that and the shorter walk would be worth the upgrade fee to me!

Oh and if you on on the ground floor right next to the ice skating rink, don't get undressed without shutting the curtain! There was a whole bunch of business men stood watching one woman getting ready for bed and she was totally oblivious to it

What does the hot breakfast at HNY comprise of then?

We have stayed in SL twice and HNY once. We like both.
I like the themeing of SL and we have always stayed in Montana rooms which have been fine.
However for the extra money per night that you have been offered I would probably go with HNY-the bigger rooms and the fact that we could get a room service meal -made our lives with a toddler in tow that little bit easier.
There is also nice perks like luggage to room service, and of course the biggest perk -300-400 yards less to walk from the park with sore feet of a night!!:)
The breakfast at HNY is slightly better too-with hot food available.
Saying that we are staying at SL this time when we go at Christmas -purely because of price reasons. In your shoes I would probably go for HNY!
ENJOY!:)

Stayed in HNY last year and loved it. Staying in SL this year as I would like to try out different hotels and heard SL is lovely for Christmas visits :)
