SL food?

I normally stay in the NPB but am hearing that the SL is better. I will be hoping to go in June and stay maybe 4 nights so am just wondering what the food is like in the SL as I always would eat dinner in the buffet in the Newport as I found it handy with the kids as one is disabled. I would love to hear opinions?

Also is the shortcut from the NPB still closed off?

We really enjoyed the food at SL on our last trip and IMO was marginally better than NPB. I liked that you can choose between the full buffet in one restaurant, or main course + buffet starter +/or buffet desserts in the other. Naturally I chose the desserts!

Hi we stayed here last two years and really enjoyed both our meals at the Hunters Grill. There was a good selection of food on offer and it was all hot (where appropriate!). Last year we also had a great server who was really good with the children.

This year we will be staying at the Newport Bay as one of their family rooms was cheaper than 2 rooms in the sequioa so I'm not sure we will get to eat in the sequoia because when we eat in the hotel it is normally so we are near our room.
