Is it possible to skype the wedding for elderly grandmother who can't make the trip? I don't know a thing about this, but someone told me it may be possible. Help!:confused3

I'm somewhat familiar with skype - with all my traveling I use it to talk to my DF.

I don't know if it would be possible to skype a wedding. It would depend on the area's internet connection. If Disney is Wifi (I refused to pay their $10 a fee day so I never looked at if there were wifi or hardwire), then it is possible. If you have to plug in, I don't think it could happen (unless you have an aircard, which is another story)

If it is wifi:

1) You would need to pay for the electrical setup unless your PC has a super strong battery
2) Someone would need to be responsible for running the computer/program
3) Most standard hotel internet connections are not that strong for a good skype connection. Also the person would need to be standing *very* close for a good picture and sound quality (almost uncomfortably close).

I know some photographers will run a webcast. I believe Stan (I can't remember his last name but he works with Randy Chapman) will do it for $700-$800.

Sorry :(

I was wondering the same thing! I read that the WP has cameras all over and I wanted to know if my DF and I would be able to stream our wedding live on our website...We have so much family who can't make it and would like to give them the option of still seeing us get married.

I had the webcast with Stan (STVS). It was on offer at the time I booked it and was only $50 extra.
