Skyliner to Epcot for Remy at rope drop - good idea or not?

We're staying off-property, and are trying to decide how to approach our Epcot day. I've read that going into the park through the Internation Gateway entrance is a good strategy for doing Remy first thing in the morning. But obviously I can't leave a car at any of the hotels the Gateway serves, so I'm thinking we can either Uber over there, or Uber to one of the Skyliner stops and ride in from there.

Any advice/suggestions?

Park at HS and take the Skyliner from there. I've read reports of rideshares being turned away from resorts that are near the parks if the passenger doesn't have a reservation or ADR.

Would this work for early entry or would you still be behind the crowds?

Thanks! That was kinda what I was thinking, guess we'll just park at Epcot go in the front entrance.

We did it that way just a few weeks ago. We don’t arrive for park opening but weren’t too far behind that crowd.

The line for Remy extended all the way across the bridge and past the International Gateway, but only took 25 minutes to board.

That didn’t seem too bad.

We are staying on resort and plan to rope drop Remy via the International Gateway. What's the better option if parking at Hollywood studios, Skyliner or walking?

It’s about a 15 - 20 minute walk from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT International Gateway.

The Skyliner is not direct from Hollywood Studio to EPCOT. There is a transfer required at the Caribbean Beach Station. So, once you get there, you will be in line with the Caribbean Beach guests who are going to EPCOT.

If you park at Hollywood Studio and don’t want to walk, the boat is a better option. It will stop at the Boardwalk hotels before EPCOT, but at least you will be on the boat, not waiting in line to get on.

If parking at HS what about assessing the skyliner line, take it if not bad, if crowded you continue on to the boat stop? I’m happy to be corrected, but I think the actual skyliner time is less than the boat time so it comes down to how long you have to wait to actually get on the transportation. There could be a line at the transfer station that you wouldn’t be able to assess. I’d allow about an hour for either plan in the morning arrival time.

The Caribbean beach to Epcot Skyliner route is much longer than HS to CBR plus you slow down for the Riviera stop. Probably quicker just to walk to IG using the walkway from HS or take the boat if you see it approaching then get off at Yacht/Beach at walk the rest

Agree with walking. Its a short walk.
Take the boat if it is there. Otherwise, waiting for the boat often takes longer than walking.
You will want to be in line at the IG long before the park opens as the IG has become much busier since Remy opened. There used to be 50-100 people waiting at RD at the IG. Our last trip, it was far more than that.
