I read a previous post about these and i visited there site for a quote, they have repiled :

"Hi there and thanks for your enquiry regarding Florida, we can offer a
Package from Manchester to Orlando on the 17 June for a 14 night duration
including return direct flights, accommodation at the 3* Quality Inn
International on International Drive, vehicle rental for the full duration
and all airport and security taxes for £1159.00 total based on 2 adults and
1 child.
To do the same Package but for a 21 night duration would cost £1499.00 total
based on 2 adults and 1 child."

That price is fantastic, (luckily we havent booked any holiday YET!) but does anyone know anything about them?
What do any of you reckon?
Otherwise i'll be booking the quality inn plaza (not going with the best western now!!) for £1770 for 3weeks.

Any ideas???
If we can save abit of money i will, but i want to make sure its a 100% safe/company...does anyone know who they fly with also?

Thanx Beth

That is very cheap. Could you check with trading standards and see if they have any info on them?

Also, I would check about car insurance, that could add an extra £300 or £400 on top. It doesn't specifically say if that is included.

What did you find out about the Best Western that has put you off??

Bev

Hiya Bev,

I will see what i can find out about skydeck,as it is a good offer, and we can stay at the hotel we'd like to stay at.

The best western i havent been put off it in such, when i quoted for quality inn plaza, they quoted around £1770,and it was only £100 dearer than western, and my brother and his wife who have been several times have once stayed in quality inn plaza and said its a nice hotel, etc,as where with the best western i read quite a few messages stating the rooms was tacky etc, as we are going to plan for 3weeks i want to be confident in the hotel im staying in and best western i wasnt confident about

lol sorry to ramble on
So as it goes as of now we might book with virgin for 3weeks with quality inn plaza...thats car included etc :) so it seems a good deal (although we are going over what we said we would) lol. Thats for the 17th june! :)

Infact heres the prices i have got off virgin:

For Best western (3weeks) : £1667
For Rodeway Inn (3weeks) : £1770
For Howard Johnson Plaza Resort (3weeks) : £1703
For Villager Premier (3weeks) : £1619
For Quality Inn Plaza (3weeks) : £1750

We opted to stop over 3weeks, as the longer the better,we loved the first holiday there :) and we really want to relax, and do the parks in our own time :) and the fact that from 2weeks prices theres not much difference!

So out of them hotels which do you reckon?
We think Quality inn plaza?

Beth

P,s thats for 2adults,child and car included (extra charge for the extra week) etc.

We have stayed at the Quality Inn Plaza (1998).....its OK. Clean and comfortable. Its within walking distance of several restaurants and The Pointe (shopping complex). The pools arent huge, but there are a couple so not crowded. Avoid the hotel restaurant though!! Its awful, and there are so many great ones on I-Drive there is no need to endure it!:D

Another board I use has recently discussed the Village Premier, and to be honest it sounds pretty poor....I would avoid this.

The Rodeway is next to the QIP, and is a bit on the cheapy side, although it has been done up recently.

If the Best Western is the Plaza one, then that is a great Hotel and a good price too. Its in a prime spot and is smaller than the awesomely HUGE size of the QIP, which makes it more appealing (in my opinion only!!).

Dont know anything about the HoJo Plaza, but as a chain, they tend to be pretty good value.

I would reccomend the Best Western as 1st choice or Quality Inn Plaze 2nd.

Have fun choosing.....might see you at WDW (depart 19th June!!).

Allie:D

Allie,

I really don't know now which one to choose, lol
Decisions decisions lol

Me and dp have vowed to talk about it later, as we want to book this weekend (hopefully)! so its going to be hard which one to pick, as long as the hotel room is decent as we have a little one,and we stopped in a hotel in miami, last year and believe me i wouldnt of let my dog live in it,it was Disgusting, so i really want a nice clean hotel room, abit like Quality Inn International as that was basic and cheap...

Ohh god its so hard,i suppose its not really much about the room as your hardly in it i suppose lol lol

I'll let you know what we decide :)
Ohh we will be there at the same time :)

I'm a bit confused coz I thought the Rodeway Inn was the one right up I-Drive next to Holiday Inn International opposite Wet and Wild ::sigh:: so many hotels I lose track where they all are.

Quality Inn Plaza is a great hotel in my opinion and if I had to chose from the above that would be my choice. The rooms were clean and tidy and good facilities.

Nice simple pools - there's 3 in total across the complex.

Really friendly Guest Services - nice little outside terrace to eat bagels etc for breakfast from the Deli.

Finally location, location, location - opposite Wonderworks and the Pointe shopping center. QIP is a great choice and I've stayed there twice and would again. LOL that said Beth I've never stayed in the others. I've never really fancied the look of The Rodeway dunno why I just don't - different folks different strokes I guess ;)

There are at least 2 Rodeways on I-Drive.....one next to the Quality Inn International and one by The H-Inn Express. I think there is also another nearer Universal Boulevard too.

I was thinking of the one next to the Q-Inn when I replied. I agree, Sam, I have never fancied staying there. They look a bit like a dodgy block of flats to me! I guess they are probably pretty much Ok or Virgin wouldnt use them??!! Would DEFINATELY choose the Q-Inn over them though.:D

Fantasia Sam - The hotel you were thinking of directly opposite Wet & Wild is probably the Best Western Movieland (used to be called the Las Palmas Inn). It's not as plush as the other Best Western on I-Drive (the Plaza Inn?), but is a lot cheaper and really not that bad if all you're going to do is crash out there in the evenings or laze by the pool.

I stayed there once a few years ago, but will be going back there this year because I got a good price on it from Dreams Unlimited.
Wouldn't recommend the Rodeway Inn near Sand Lake Road though. Cleanliness was not high on their agenda...
