I have looked and read and still have so many questions about how Sky Auction works. We are a group of 5 possibly 7 as we are waiting on the last two people to give us an answer.

Most places on there are 7 nights . We can do one night somewhere else. if need be.

My questions are, if you bid and win a 7 nights in a place. How do you know you will be able to get your dates? What are all of the fees? Do the 7 night stays run Saturday to depart on the following Saturday? Or are there Sunday check ins?

There are 2 types of Skyauction resort auctions.
Type 1: will list the resorts available and the dates & type (e.i. 1bdrm, 2bdrm)
Taxes & fee are listed at the bottom of the listing and there is always an admin fee. ( last time I used it was $20 but fees might have gone up)

Type 2: Home Away, Ready Set Go, etc. with the 7 day resort stay, has a link on that page that takes you to the RCI getaways. You put you dates that you want to go & area and it'll give you a list of resorts & date of check in. you can place a hold on it until you win your auction. Resorts usually have Friday, Sat & Sun check in ( but it will depend on availabilty)

Taxes & fees are listed at the bottom. Total fees will look like this:

Winning Auction amount + Taxes & Fess + admin fees = total charges.
example Bid $100 + $195 T&F + $20= $315 total

Hope that helps, I've used Skyauctions for over 10 different vacations and NEVER had a problem.

thanks :yay: I think I am going to use them if I can find something for our dates.

I have another question (maybe silly?) about Sky Auction....

We won the bid on a Surf and Turf without putting a hold on anyplace. I now have my codes for my certificates with a link to redeem them. What if I put in my codes to redeem, and they don't have what I'm looking for, can I keep checking or do I have to reserve something right then?

Thanks for any help!

You can keep checking until you find what you want, then it will ask you to redeem/confirm your request. But when you find what you want, book it don't think about it for a "few" days because the best resort won't stay on list very long. Hope that helps?
