Sky Auction info?

Is there a website that explains the ins and outs of sky auction like there is for Priceline?

Long story short we just got back from Disney this past Saturday and our flights were cancelled each way (yeah Air Tran). We are now the proud owners of 8 roundtrip tickets to anywhere in the US. We are going to use one set for our next Disney trip Sept 2008, but want to travel elsewhere for the other trip. Looking for a deal of course! (We are willing to go back to Orlando and perhaps see some of the other sites besides WDW).

Any help would be very welcome!

how many people?

some of the 1-bedroom that they claim are for 4 - well for me 2 is pushing it.

so it completely depends upon the resort and what size unit.

the home away are still the best bargin. but they have very, very few 2-bedrooms.

you bid and win a home away then you need to add $195 exchange fee +$20 skyauction fee.

if you win one of the other ones you add $295 + $20.

now assuming you want a condo (not hotel) and will stay for the full week.

It would be for 2 adults and 2 young children (aged 5 and 2 at time of travel), we are thinking maybe May??? but are very flexible.

How far in advance do you book sky auction. It seemed right now there isnt much inventory for may 2008 in FL. How far in advance does it typically become avialble?

may - would be some in feb, mar and april - but more of it would should up in April.

you can look now - the Sheration Vistana (under its own name) sometime will let you have in advance - but you are paying a price for it - lots of bidders
